Beady Eye & Stone Roses @ Fuji rock

NIIGATA -  ザ・ズトーン・ローゼズが、イアン・ブラウン、ジョン・スクワイア、マニ、レニのオリジナルメンバーで再結成を発表したのは、2011年10月のこと。彼らの出身地であるマンチェスターのヒートン・パークでの復活公演に加え、世界中のフェスティバルを巡る大規模な世界ツアーが発表された。そのひとつとして、日本のフジロックが選ばれたのだ。2012年のフジロックの開催日程とともに、ヘッドライナーとしてザ・ストーン・ローゼズの出演が発表されるという異例の事態になったことからも、その事の重大さを窺い知ることができるだろう。

来日は1995年以来、実に17年ぶりのことである。ただ、これまでのメンバー同士の確執や、幾度となく再結成を否定してきた背景を考えると、再結成発表記者会見で4人並んだ映像に感動を覚えつつも、心のどこかでは疑心暗鬼だったファンも少なくないことだろう。そう、自分の目で4人が同じステージにあがるのをみるまでは。

この日、彼らのTシャツを着た客が多かったことからも予想できたことだが、グリーンステージは当然のごとく超満員。4人の登場を今か今かと、待ちわびていた。ステージ転換のSEが一度フェイドアウトし、シュープリームの「ストーン・ラブ」がかかった。再結成公演では定番となっているのだが、これがステージ開始の合図だ。一人ずつステージにあがったことを確認するかのように、セッティングに入るメンバーの姿がスクリーンに映るたびに、歓声があがった。

彼らのファーストアルバムの1曲目を飾る曲でもある「I Wanna Be Adored」から、ステージは幕を開けた。相変わらずお世辞にも上手とは言えないイアンのボーカルだけども、どうやら今日はちょっと調子がよかったようだ。いや、それはファンの贔屓目かもしれないが、少なくとも歌詞の一言一言を噛み締めるように丁寧に歌っていたのが印象的だった。そこに煌めきを放つようなジョンのギター、脳天を貫くようなレニのドラム、そして唸るようなマニのベースが重なると、唯一無二のザ・ストーン・ローゼズの音が完成する。そうだ、皆この音を待っていたのだ。

そんな彼らの魅力がいかんなく発揮されたのは、中盤に演奏された「Fools Gold」ではないだろうか。ささやくようなクールなボーカルから始まるこの曲は、中盤からインストのインプロビゼーションで熱を帯びながら展開していき、演奏時間は10分を超える。この日もジョンはビートルズの「デイ・トリッパー」の一節を加えたりと、このバンドで音を奏でることを楽しんでいるように見えた。さらには、曲終盤にはギターを掲げて観客にアピールしてみせたりも。そのときイアンが何かジョンにちょっかいを出したのだが、いつもクールでシャイなジョンが、一瞬だけはにかむ様子がみられた。再結成に至までには少なくとも穏便ではなかった2人の関係性を思い起こすと、思わずぐっと胸が熱くなる。

それにしても、改めてザ・ストーン・ローゼズというバンドは不思議なバンドだ。もともと彼らの楽曲は、たとえばOASISのようにド直球で万人受けするポップさを持ち合わせる楽曲ではない。そのため、ここ日本では大合唱はなかなか起こらなかった。歌はヘロヘロだし、演奏も特別上手なわけでもない。ただ、彼らが奏でる楽曲の煌めきは、ただただ眩しいのだ。そしてその煌めきは、懐かしさから得られるものではなく、今のローゼズから放たれているもの、そのものなのだ。

ライブ終了後に4人が肩を組んだ姿をみたときに、改めて思った。日本を、そしてフジロックを選んでくれてありがとう。

Pretty Green rocks Tokyo

TOKYO - The hot ticket in Tokyo on Wednesday night was the launch party to celebrate the recent opening of Pretty Green’s first international store.
The official launch party took place at the prestigious Two Rooms Bar which is walking distance from the store situated in the Aoyama shopping district.
Liam Gallagher joined VIP’s including models and celebrities, along with the Pretty Green teams from Japan and the UK, to celebrate the success of the new store. DJ for the night Andy Bell kept the guest entertained laying down some cool tracks and mixing tunes for the duration. Sponsors Belvedere Vodka made sure the drinks were flowing all night and created a special ‘Pretty Green’ cocktail, which helped everyone enjoy the celebratory atmosphere.
Pretty Green opened its first international store in Japan on 29th June, selling an exclusive collection specifically designed for the Japanese market. Pretty Green special night +video

TOKYO - The countdown has begun to the exclusive party to celebrate the opening of our first International Pretty Green store in Tokyo last month.
With 1 day to go, the PG team have arrived in Japan to finish the final preparations for this special party. It’s all happening on Wednesday 25th July and is being held to mark the official opening of the store and introduce the Japanese to the world of Pretty Green.

Pretty Green sunglasses video

LONDON - Pretty Green invited the first 50 people who bought sunglasses from the new range to take part in a photo shoot by Tom Oxley. The images were then used to create a film to be used to promote the range. In addition, a mini-documentary will be seeded online.
The 30 sec ad piece with an Union Jack flag was produced and directed by Pretty Green, while the 'making of' mini documentary was produced by Holler and directed by Charlie Lightening of Lightening Productions (Beady Eye, Kasabian, Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Pixie Lott, Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones, Miles Kane, Primal Scream, Jamiroquai, White Lies, etc.)

Kasabian in Milan, interview with Sergio Pizzorno

MILAN - Ahead of Kasabian’s gig in Milano (Ippodromo), "Britalian" Sergio tells us a bit about his Italian side and his relationship with Italy.
"My Granddad was from Genoa, he came over to England in the 60s. So, growing up, it started with football really. I always supported Italy, through all the World Cups. I always had a blue shirt rather than a white shirt.
Because my granddad died when I was very young, to keep the Italian thread in the family going, I think my dad went out of his way to make sure I knew where my family was from.
We used to spend every summer in Italy in Abisola or Alassio which is on the Riviera. We’d drive in a battered old Austin Allegro. It used to take us three or four days. I spent every summer there. I grew up on pasta and pizza.
My dad was a musical influence on me, but It’s only now I realise it. He was into Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker and Howling Wolf - real blues players - and the Stones, but he couldn’t play anything. He had a guitar with no strings on it, which he used to pretend to play, so I would pick it up and do the same. Pretending just like he did.
As far as Italian songs go, there was something I always remember a song called La chate mi cantare *, a real old bad Italian song. There was also one called Gloria - I swear Pulp nicked the riff for Disco 2000. I suppose Zucchero was played. That’s kind of the vibe that was going on in the house.
It’s funny because Italian fans have really taken us to their hearts, it’s almost like playing a home town show. The support is just huge. It’s heart warming, especially for me.

I don’t know enough Italian, I’m lazy and I do apologise. I understand a great deal, but speaking it, I’m terrible. And especially when you’re on stage, you don’t want to start throwing out words that you’re not particularly comfortable with. I’m a shy person, if I’m rocking out some Italian, I need to know I’m getting it right.

I suppose Italy is just so very different to back home. It’s the whole culture, I feel like I slot right in because it’s just very relaxed. The food is incredible, but it is the people who make it.

It’s obviously aesthetically beautiful, you’ve got ancient monuments and you can walk round them and they’re beautiful, but for me, it’s the actual people who live here. There seems to be a really good family spirit. The computer generation doesn’t seem to have changed that. There is still a beautiful family vibe.

And all the people I’ve met along the way have been so nice, the fans especially. Even when they’re just asking for an autograph it’s very polite. And they’re very aware that if you’re with your family to just leave you alone."

* (just yesterday I was writing about 80s songs). La chate mi cantare is not French and it's "Lasciatemi cantare" (let me sing), "L'italiano" by Toto Cutugno, sort of "national anthem". Also, Sergio is not Serge in a French spelling...

Stone Roses in Milano

MILAN - Front row! Great gig. Ian Brown was very kind, delivering kisses and gesticualting a lot with the crowd, also giving a lot of stuff (tambourines, setlists, bracelets, etc. and Reni his sticks). Someone gave him an Union Jack flag and he put it on the floor, trampled on it and (almost) pretended to spit on it, while smiling. At the end he said this is not "goodbye" but "arrivederci", see you again.

Another one says nobody heard of Beady Eye and they were not invited to any festival... hilarious. So many festivals (they were on tour LAST year), including the Stone Roses reunion @ Heaton Park in Manchester. Noel not, sorry. He copied all the other places where Beady Eye have already been. He always comes later, like a retard. Not a case that when he was young he was a retarded weirdo. Also in Oasis, Noel came later, left them 3 times, made them split, doesn't know basic facts about them, doesn't want a reunion, he was not really one of them...
If one never heard about a band made of 4 /5 Oasis members, including the singer, founder, icon of one of the biggest band in music history, 2 times nominated best frontman of all time, etc., his music knowledge must be very poor, or he was born in 2012. Oh he's a Muse fan... enough said.

The other day Noel finally admitted (as when he admitted he doesn't know why he left Oasis, after telling so many lies) that he's not great and always plays the same 5 chords for every "new" song... of course he's saying that to appear "humble"... then he insults everyone, his own fans included, just because they want a photo or an autograph... or because they're fat. IDIOT.

MANCHESTER - 4 days to the Stone Roses in Milano (City Sound festival). It's not at the Arena but at the Ippodromo racecourse, sort of new place for a gig.

"The Stone Roses announce a big gig in a place no one's heard of, which makes it even more intriguing. Especially as 6 months previously they were playing tiny clubs in Reading and Walsall. Now I'm obsessed with the band. They were the most exciting band since The Jam. The Smiths were great, but The Roses spoke my language and looked sharp, cool. Morrissey is a lyrical genius but I like getting up in the morning, not lying about all fucking day waiting to die or get run over. Know what I mean."

AC Milan sold Ibra & Thiago

MILAN - EX Noel Gallagher's idol (one of many... that is a sign of insecurity) Tevez soon from Manchester to Milan. He's saying he's happy @ Manchester to raise the price & have higher wages, classic trick. He must have learned from Noel...

Breaking news: AC Milan sold Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris Saint Germain for about 70 million €uros (and also saving about 107 millions for the wages, 178 as total). Why isn't Platini complaining about Paris spending so much? 
A shocking transfer, 'cause they're the strongest players in Italy, Thiago even the best defender in the world. But it was a "now or never" matter: Ibra is already 31 years old and his wages are too high (selling him is like selling another big player). Thiago is a bit younger but was starting to have injuries and making mistakes... (and for all that money, a defender should be sold). In the past AC Milan got the right time to sell legendary players as Shevchenko and Kakà, changing club they haven't been great anymore.
Paris is building a new club with money from the sheikhs, but it will take them years (as it was for Manchester City) to be among the greatest clubs (they never won a Champions League) and Ibra could dislike this... Also, he already dislikes French football... second rate as their fashion, food and wine, (copying and) always behind the Italians.
Zlatan had his best seasons this year, scoring 35 goals, 5 in Champions League, and the amazing one vs France was even elected the best goal @ Euro 2012, even according to people in England and their football opinion, they never liked him (that's probably why England never wins, lol... it's not necessary to be an expert to see that Ibra is a huge player).
Unfortunately, this great season was also the only one (in about ten years) he didn't win the league (because of AC having many injuries...and a famous ghost goal vs Juventus...), only the Italian Supercup after last year's league.
AC was already about to sell them some weeks ago and it ended with renewing the contract, even raising Thiago's wages. They probably didn't have other great players ready to replace them. Now they probably found an agreement (secretly) with Manchester City for Tevez (finally), probably not Balotelli.
Mancini (who renewed his contract for 5 years, that is: no trophies for 5 years for Man United) was recently seen @ AC headquarters (quite strange, as he didn't get on well with Galliani).
A total revolution for AC, now without Nesta, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Gattuso, Van Bommel, Zambrotta, too old players.
Could join AC: Tevez, Kakà (back), Ganso, Diarra, Destro, Astori, Ogbonna, Dedé (but he renewed), Kolarov (but too high wages), Rolando.

r.i.p. Chris Brahney

MANCHESTER - Liam: "My thoughts are with Christopher Brahney’s family and friends LG".
Christopher Brahney, who went missing after The Stone Roses' 1st show at Heaton Park last Friday (June 29), has been found dead.
A body was recovered by police from the Manchester Ship Canal at 9.35am this morning (July 9) and Great Manchester Police have now confirmed that they formally identified the body as Brahney's.
Earlier this afternoon, a statement was also posted on the Chris Brahney page, which reads as follows: "It is with great sadness that on behalf of the Brahney family I am writing to you all. The police will be issuing a formal statement soon regarding the body that was found in the canal this morning. At this time we believe that it is Chris, however formal identification has still to take place."
They continued: "The family would like to thank everyone for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers that you have sent our way. Thank you for all the support, it has given them immense strength and courage.
Please respect the family’s wishes and ensure that they are left alone during this difficult time."
An extensive search has taken place throughout last week and this weekend to find Brahney, with The Stone Roses themselves even appealing for people to come forward with information.
Brahney was 22 and from Timperley in Manchester. A full post-mortem examination will take place tomorrow.

Stone Roses after party

MILAN - One week to the gig in Milano (support: the Clash). I've heard Alan is coming... I invited Liam, dunno yet.
This yellow colour is often coming back... the mods sunglasses, the book "The art of treating women", the beer of the English blonde @ gig... Fools gold ;).
After party: fifteensome by me, lol (as usual when coming back from gigs).
To a place here (where Liam was, and my bodyguards Beppe & Pippo - Liam also was @ Just Cavalli near us - of course Noel Gallagher never was there, too cool place) I gave them a lot of beer and a deejay console. Since then, they're making parties, lol.
(as one of the main Italian newspapers wrote about me: I'm a benefactor for humanity, lol).
The last time Liam was there was 1 February 2009 to watch the Premier League, the day before Oasis last gig in Milan with Beckham, the "snowasis" gig, snowing so hard.
I was invited to a party with Ian Brown in London in July 2001, we were there for just one night. I remember that day: on a little airplane, it was very windy and all the people were throwing up (just like Liam looking at the "fucking fake" Noel... "makes me want to throw up"), you could see their heads alternatively going down (just like the people in the future, realising about Noel...). I didn't, BUT I farted out loud, LOL (very windy ahahaha)

I remember I was making jokes to two cute blondes pulling their feet from behind and they were laughing. I was with a friend from south Italy moaning, told me to leave them alone... wanker.

Stone Roses @ T in the Park

BALADO - Photo by Jane Barlow. Quite literally, T in the Park had been waiting for this moment - not just all weekend, but since the festival’s very inception in 1994. Having fractured and eventually split within two years of T beginning, the Stone Roses never had a chance to play Balado, which is a shame for all concerned.

Few festival crowds in the country are as in thrall to the sound the Stone Roses engendered amidst the Manchester scene of the late 1980s, and each disciple, descendant and imitator of the band has played here since - as three of the original Roses with other bands or solo projects.
So it was only fitting that the most anticipated musical reunion of the last two decades should hit T at the earliest opportunity, with the band playing their second UK location only a week after making a triumphant return to the country (notwithstanding May’s low-key, introductory secret gig in Warrington) with three widely-acclaimed shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park last weekend. In fact, in many ways the pressure was off here. The Roses had already run the critical beauty parade before the nation’s press eight days ago, with the overwhelming consensus telling us that, at the very least, there was no danger their reputation would be desecrated here.
For all who have seen these comeback shows, the sound of the Supremes’ Stoned Love will incite a shiver of expectation. Here, it once again heralded the band onstage: Ian Brown wearing a tartan scarf on his wrist and a cheeky grin as he enquired “how you doin’?”; guitarist John Squire dapper in what looked like a fitted houndstooth jacket; drummer Reni in a baffling Brazil top and Arabian headdress combination; bassist Mani allowing himself a short pause before picking out the unmistakeable bassline of I Wanna Be Adored.
The band started slowly but confidently, and the set followed a series of subtle, dynamic mood shifts. First the breezy West Coast jangle of Mersey Paradise, (Song For My) Sugar Spun Sister and a pristine Sally Cinnamon, the low-key Where Angels Play fusing into the stoned protest song Shoot You Down. As the sun went down the beats became more robust, with an epically stretched-out Fool’s Gold - once more reminding of Can as played by the JBs - taking a detour, thanks to Squire’s prickly, dexterous guitar playing, into the Beatles’ Day Tripper and the Roses’ own "Driving South". As on record, Something Burning was almost somnambulant, but those it had hypnotised were snapped back into the present by the glorious opening riff of Waterfall, with the latter’s companion piece Don’t Stop impressively played backwards as on record.
It was a set which had everything those who had been clamouring to hear it would have wanted, although perhaps some sense of possibility for the future in terms of a preview of rumoured new material would have been the icing on a very rich cake. As the biting guitar riff of Love Spreads roared out and Brown commandeered the song with a ridiculously assured rap, though, it seemed just enough that this band are once more among us: capable, sure of themselves and casting aside doubts by the song.

London new skyline: Italian Shard


LONDON - The tallest building in Europe was officially unveiled at yesterday's inauguration - with a laser show for its launch. It makes the Tower Bridge look like Lilliput. Looks like Noel Gallagher's illuminati triangle......................
The glass building, built next to the River Thames, was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano and is over 1,000ft high. He dubbed it a “Vertical City”.
Pointy skyscraper The Shard will be home to offices, posh apartments, restaurants, a luxury hotel and viewing gallery.
The tower has 72 occupiable floors and a further 15 levels which make up the pointed spire.
The 1,016ft (309.6m) skyscraper is joint-owned by the state of Qatar and the Sellar Property Group, and it was funded by the Qatar National Bank.
It was originally only nicknamed The Shard after Mr Piano described the building as a “shard of glass” in the planning stages, but the name stuck.
Londoners were treated to a spectacular laser and lights show projected from the building shortly after 10pm.
The event marks the completion of the exterior of the building, with work on the inside expected to continue into next year.
Abdullah Saoud Al-Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank, said: “The Shard is the newest London landmark and a beacon of the city of London’s resilience and expansion, even during tough economic times.
“It is a symbol of Qatar’s belief and commitment to London both today and in the future.
“We have a long heritage and continued commitment to invest and build in the UK for the long term and The Shard highlights this close relationship."
Tickets to visit the Shard's 800ft viewing point go on sale today.
The View from The Shard attraction will open on February 1 and 17,500 people have already registered their interest to visit online.
Advance tickets cost £24.95 for adults and £18.95 for children.

Berlusconi jr & Hateley: Carroll @ AC Milan

MILAN - Pretty Green fan, former AC Milan Englishman Mark Hateley (nickname: Attila) believes the Liverpool star would benefit by moving to Italy: “It would be breath of fresh air for Andy Carroll. It would be great to go away and test himself in a new environment, a new culture and a different way of living.
“That was key for my development when I was so young. I played under a young Fabio Capello at Milan. They teach you the game inside and out, that’s what they do in these countries, especially Italy.
“Big strikers have always been a handful. It would be great for Andy and, when he’s taken all that on board, it’ll be great for England.
“At his age you’re still very young and very raw. You’re susceptible to taking on new projects and ideas.
“He’s got great strengths in his game already but he still has a lot of weaknesses. They [Milan] can deconstruct his game and build it back up again to the way a European centre-forward should be.”

Hateley moved from Portsmouth to Milan in 1984, when he was just 21, and scored a legendary goal (header) in a derby won 2-1 vs Inter Milan in 1984, I still remember it very well (the defender was Collovati, "traitor" 'cause he joined Inter from AC). It reminds me of Alessandro, schoolmate big fan of AC, who is not with us anymore and now having a better time out of this world.

The son of Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, Pier Silvio - president of Mediaset, the holding company that owns the club - admitted earlier in the week that he would like to land the former Newcastle striker.
"As a future target I’d like Andy Carroll," he told The Sun. “I must admit that for his body build, and after seeing his header in the Euros, I would like to have Carroll at Milan. This is a new era for Milan. We will continue to get younger while maintaining the culture. Milan still has its superstars."

AC Milan stays the best club in history

SAO PAULO - Someone called Noel Gallagher would say: "it's with some sadness and great relief..." (lol, I'm mocking him as always).
AC Milan, founded by a group of Italians and English people meeting in a bar in the centre of Milano (I think I already heard this recently ;), using the Milan-England Christian cross of Saint George as symbol, remains the team winning the most international trophies in football history (18).
Last night, the Brazilians of Corinthians vs Argentinians of Boca Juniors 2-0 (1-1 the first leg) so Boca didn't win the Copa Libertadores 2012 (Corinthians winning at their first final).
AC Milan won 4 Club World Cups,-Intercontinental Cups, Boca 3, and were the first ones reaching 18.
AC Milan rivlas as Inter Milan and Juventus were ready to celebrate if Milan lost this title (they're jealous), but yesterday Galliani said we would have written "the most succesful club in Europe", or, as a journalist suggested, "the European club most successful in the world" ;).
Some people are ridiculous when they say Real Madrid or some English or Scottish or whatever club won more trophies. This title of "most successful club" is officially given by the FIFA, it was not invented by AC Milan. To establish who is the best, you obviously have to see the international trophies, where everybody has the possibility to play (well, many say the South American cups are not so difficult to win... in fact, watching the final, I can't say it was really "great football"... boring, with elementary mistakes, etc.) Otherwise, how could a foreign club win for example one of many cups or little cups in England? impossible.

festival fashion picks: Gallagher's girl

Liam: Beady Eye didn't want the band to split up


LONDON - Contrary to slow and lazy Noel Gallagher (3 real new songs every 3 years, the other ones from old sessions, and his imaginary friend Gem saying they're not by Noel) who always says there won't be his second album (don't believe him, it's just another of his strategies to make people buy his album, 28th in the USA) and the High Flying Birds will split in November, Liam Gallagher has spoken about Beady Eye's progress in recording their new album. 
Gallagher, who supported The Stone Roses on Saturday (June 30) during the second of their three Heaton Park gigs over the weekend with Beady Eye, told BBC 6Music that the "songs are a lot better" this time around.
Asked how the band's second album was progressing, he said: "It's sounding good. We've got a bit more writing to do, but we'll go in and record some time this year. If Stone Roses and Beady Eye both release an album next year, everything will be alright."
Then asked how the band's second album would move on from their good debut Different Gear, Still Speeding, he said: "The first album came straight off the back of Oasis splitting up and we just wanted to be in a band again, so we just went straight in and did it. This time, we're taking our time a bit. We're not worried with having to be out there, we'll be there when the songs are absolutely bang on."
He then spoke about the band's feelings about writing quickly and said that even with Oasis, he always wanted to progress quickly.
Gallagher added: "We had the rug pulled from us by 'a certain someone', we didn't want the band to split up. We wanted to crack on and even when Oasis used to finish tours and talk about having years off, we'd all be like 'We're not getting any younger and if you like something, keep doing it all the time, have six months and then let's make another record'. So that's what we did with this one. The songs are a lot better on this album, they have to be."

On the contrary, the worst Oasis fan Noel Gallagher wanted the band to split up 3 times and is always repeating he wants no reunion, to sound as a great solo artist who doesn't need anyone. He obviously WANTS a reunion, 'cause he's too interested in money...

Stone Roses & Beady Eye new albums soon

MANCHESTER - While the "fucking fake" Noel Gallagher is supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers, continuosly licking American arses and having the 28th place as result in the most important chart for his American album (made in USA album, USA videos, music from USA, band name from an USA band, lyrics from another USA band, USA actresses, saying he wants to be USA president, etc. - his blinded fans didn't even realise), while he could only sell hotdogs @ Heaton Park near Manchester, the Stone Roses gigs were a special moment for another homecoming hero – in the swaggering form of Liam Gallagher and his band Beady Eye.
They played a barnstorming set on Saturday night ahead of the Roses taking to the stage. And Burnage boy Liam delighted Oasis fans by performing two of his former band's songs with Beady Eye, Morning Glory and Rock 'n' Roll Star which he promptly dedicated to "the one and only Mr Ian Brown" . The band also treated the crowds to new Liam-penned song World Not Set In Stone - a song title not unlike something we'd expect from the Stone Roses themselves, we reckon! (dedicated to the La's Lee Mavers)
Liam was later pictured backstage with his wife, former pop star Nicole Appleton, and tv presenter Holly Willoughby, enjoying the Stone Roses gig. Liam had earlier told Elizabeth Alker in an interview for BBC6 Music that he'd felt relaxed about the gig and that he'd even have played support for the Roses if Oasis were still together. He said: "I'd always had my fingers crossed, I'd have even done it with Oasis, I'm not one of those people who'd say "Im not supporting you cause we're as big as you" or whatever. Life's too short you've got to drop your guard and just have a good time, it doesn't matter who is headlining. As long as it's happening it's great, I'm so happy." He revealed Beady Eye's new album is "going great" and he said he hopes that both Beady Eye and the Stone Roses will both release new albums next year. "That'd be nice," he said.

Meanwhile, the leech Noel Gallagher is depressing himself and his depressed fans with the "new" song "It makes me wanna cry", using again and again the same chords of Wonderwall, as for If I Had A Gun, D'You Know What I Mean, etc. chronically in lack of inspiration, always taking stuff from other people and himself in old sessions, with his imaginary friend Gem Archer saying the new songs are not by Noel.
Nothing new from the man who had to pay the most money for copying songs in music history, and as solo artist winning only the prize of Godlike Genius without the people voting.
I've heard his wife, who hates his music, says he's useless... Noel said it's the same for every couple. No.


Besides, Noel always said he doesn't believe in God, and in his songs he often names God... classic double Noel, not sure of anything. Insecure even about why he left Oasis...
His fans are desperate, the more his songs suck and are all the same depressing shit, the more his blinded fans sound crazy about them... someone please help them.

Stone Roses @ Heaton Park 3rd night

The Stone Roses' unofficial fifth member Cressa has hailed the band’s homecoming as "outstanding" and "amazing".
Manchester's indie heroes finished their three-night weekender at Manchester's Heaton Park last night (July 1) with another triumphant hits set. And backstage, the band’s former guitar tech and dancer told how elated he was at Friday’s show.
He said before the show: "Outstanding. I didn’t come last night because I didn’t see how Friday could be any better, but there’s so much love. I was anticipating possibly a rocky show, but they were awesome. I'm told last night was even better. Hopefully it'll be an upward trajectory and tonight will be even better!"
Cressa was as emotional as the rest of Heaton Park at seeing his old mates reunite. "Obviously it was emotional," he continued, "just to see them. 18 months ago I was saying to people, 'There's three things I want to see before I die; My son grow up to be a grown man, (Manchester) City to win the Premier League and the Roses to play again. I bet I only see one of those', and now in the last year, City have won the league and the Roses are playing again - so two out of three ain't bad."
The Roses thrilled Heaton Park for the third night as their homecoming weekender came to a close, with the band playing their now-familiar set of favourites exploding before the show closed with another spectacular firework display.
Earlier on, Plan B, The Wailers, Mick Jones' Justice Tonight Band, and Dirty North, the local band hand-picked by Reni, performed.

Stone Roses @ Heaton park 2nd night with Beady Eye

MANCHESTER - Noel Gallagher was selling hotdogs, as he said, he would have done anything to play the same night and see them. The Stone Roses chose Beady Eye and went from strength to strength on the second night of their homecoming Heaton Park weekender.
With the pressure of the first show off for the band, the north Manchester park enjoyed an even more celebratory show than yesterday, their first major UK show in 16 years.
Once again, just after 9pm, the intro track of The Supremes' 'Stoned Love' faded out and Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni walked onstage and powered into their 1989 classic I Wanna Be Adored.
Brown made a quip about the relentless rain, before powering into Mersey Paradise, Sugar Spun Sister and Where Angels Play.
As the rapturous crowd only went wilder, Brown was alerted by security to give out a safety message, “If someone falls down, pick them up yeah?” The 75,000-strong audience responded, and the local heroes were able to thunder into Ten Story Love Song.
Love Spreads saw Brown strip down to a black patterned T-shirt and Reni don his trademark cap, on top of the dreadlock wig. And as the song ended, Brown repeated his rap from yesterday, celebrating the band's return and demanding applause.
After another diatribe from Brown against the royals before first album favourite Elizabeth My Dear, the Roses finished with a heroic rendition of I Am The Resurrection, extended into its traditional wig-out epilogue. The band members then hugged, stood in solidarity at the front of the stage, and departed jubilant, stubbornly refusing to do an encore.
And for the second night, the show was followed by a spectacular firework display to the blaring out of Redemption Song, one of the few Bob Marley classics The Wailers did not play earlier on.

Even before the Roses, it was an epic night for Manchester indie, as Liam Gallagher and Beady Eye performed Oasis tracks to a hometown crowd for the first time. He dedicated Rock’n’Roll Star to "the one and only Mr Ian Brown". Later on he gave an airing to his old band’s classic Morning Glory.
Before that, The Wailers made their daily appearance, at the personal request of Ian Brown.
Lily Allen confirmed her pop comeback by making a surprise appearance with Professor Green, when the pair performed their collaboration Just Be Good To Green The day was opened by Hollie Cook.

final: Italy vs Spain with a little help from their friends

KIEV - The referee Pedro Proença is Portuguese and he should keep in mind that Spain scored the decisive goal for the group stage in offside... and there were 2 penalties for Croatia... so Spain probably wouldn't even have qualified. Besides, Spain won vs Portugal on penalties, he probably doesn't like them ;)

It's been an entertaining tournament, apart from many racist episodes, all against Italy: from Spanish fans with their typical monkey chants to Balotelli (they were doing even worse things to Hamilton in Formula 1), from Croatians (booing the anthem, monkey boos, throwing rockets, bananas, they had to pay), Irish (booing Balotelli), Germans (typical racist newspapers and tv "experts"). Plus violence, between Croatians and Irish, Russians and Poles.
I thought it would have been very boring, nobody absolutely expected Italy to be so good (even if it's the last 2 World Champions, 2006 vs 2010, playing). We were losing friendly games vs Usa, Russia, but not vs Spain last summer (2-1, with a classic help for the Spanish, an absurd penalty). These Beatles' "little helps from their friends" also happen for their clubs, as Barcelona (famously helped vs Chelsea some time ago).
The Spanish tabloids have been idiotic, as usual, when before Spain-Italy 1-1 (the only one team scoring a goal to the World&Europe Champions) they published rubbish from 1994 (that makes 18 years ago, Oasis first album), the famous elbow by Tassotti (now AC Milan 2nd manager) to Luis Enrique (last year's Roma manager), when there's no problem between them, they were also shaking their hands recently and the Spanish even said he doesn't want to hear about that anymore.
About the famous "biscotto" (biscuit), the Spanish newspapers have been even more ridiculous, "forgetting" that Italy would have qualified anyway with the draw 0-0 for Spain-Croatia, and "forgetting" they cheated in the 80s, scoring 12 goals.
Spain is the favored, in every sense (it seems for referees too).

..... Balotelli ahahaha and City symbol on Noel's guitar :). This tune was my alarm clock to wake up in the morning from '97 to 2000. At a 1997 gig after the first chord of 'Be here now' I was literally flying, gone fuckin' mad fer it, continuously shouting and jumping embraced with all the people. Best fun of my life.
