the Britalian Milan site for pure Beady Eye, Pretty Green, Oasis, and City fans

from the gigography: Alcatraz 2005

MILAN - Support band was a terrible Italian duo called Marcilo Agro, similar to Kings of Convenience from fucking Norway, we were sleeping (they were not "very Oasis"..) and the crowd was shouting everything against them
well, during these months Oasis seemed to be over, so I had to find out some subjects to "keep the interest alive" (just to recall a song by them, "Keep the dream alive"). And Oasis are always in "the heart of the matter", even people who hate Oasis visit this site ehehehe
Can't wait for the probably double tour this year. Rumors say: not July 2010 but even May! (it ryhmes :))
Sometimes it wouldn't be bad to remember some old gigs and anecdotes.
This was a concert in Milano in May 2005 at Alcatraz disco, at the beginning of "Don't believe the truth" tour. The album was not out yet, it was a kind of "preview" gig (in fact there was another concert in October), so the new songs were... new :)
We were there quite early (like: 15 hours before ahaha) and getting a bit bored because it was hot. I got to know a girl, who was from "the blue suburban skies" :) (just to quote the Beatles), so her name was Penny Lane :). The little town where she was from (called Novate Milanese, or Champagne SuperNovate Milanese :) was the closest to where Oasis would have performed their last concert ever in 2009, but as we know, then unfortunately they didn't.
But, as that is the place of Milan Expo 2015, we have to be optimist also about Gallaghers future, in fact it seems to be bright as usual.
So, Penny Lane wanted to have a walk around with me... ok, we go.
We had a too large walk around, in fact we went to the centre, quite far from Alcatraz disco.
We were in the park where I used to play football when I was a child, and we sunbathed a bit, almost falling asleep in the sun for how good it was.
Then we went to the big french shop of music where once I met Suede (and Placebo, with Brian Molko winking his eye at me, no comment). Though I'm allergic to pollen, I had no problems in the park, very strange (Penny Lane, very strange :) but inside the french shop I had like 100 sneezes (and Penny Lane kept on laughing all the time... you can write a song about all this :) and me sneezing. I knew my main allergy is not pollen but the french.
Then we came back to Alcatraz, where we met a boy from Naples, who was very similar to Liam :), you know, in Naples "copying things" is very typical :)), and he wanted to sell us the new Oasis cd, two weeks before it was coming out ahaha It's better that Noel doesn't read this, Noel wants the money.
Naples people usually are very funny, and this one too.
We knew other people, but then we lost ourselves during the concert cos we were on the first rows and there was a lot of confusion as usual.
As it was a disco, we were crushed by the crowd. We didn't even notice that Liam was wearing quite shorter trousers, though he was so close to us. During one of the first songs, Bring it on down, the pressure was still intolerable and there was a girl who was about to faint or I dunno what the hell she had. The security couldn't arrive to her, and maybe it would have been quite difficult to lift her. She was not so thin, with a very cute face, and called Melissa: she told me to take her out of there, and I used a strange strategy :), I caught her and told her to cling herself to my polo and took her out while we were embraced, as a tornado ahaha, and Liam noticed this.
Escape from Alcatraz ahahaha ...oh my hero! :)) Then she told me she had problems of heart, and it was her first Oasis concert and couldn't breathe there. Oh mamma mia, one suffering of heart inside a gig mayhem, it could be only a mad Oasis fan :)

the Beatles, Penny Lane - dedicated to the first girl I was saying

Here are some videos from the concert, of different kinds on YouTube: amateur video, Mtv video, bootleg audio, videotape.

Fucking in the bushes & Turn up the sun: it was a new song, so the people were more excited for Oasis than for the song itself they didn't know. Notice Liam repeating the first sentence 2 times, cos he couldn't hear well, there was too much noise from the people (and also because he often forgets the lyrics ehehe). This song was my alarm clock in the morning from 2005 to 2008 (listen to the cd version). I love this tune, inspired by the bittersweet movie Midnight cowboy, with Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, the father of Angelina Jolie (songs as Everybody's talking at me, by Harry Nilsson).

Bring it on down

The meaning of soul, bootleg audio. This one's for Melissa.
It used to be the song on Sky Sports tv publi-city :) in England.

videotape, The meaning of soul, it was a new song at those times

Morning glory

Live forever. Great Britain flag at minute 2:53 :)

Champagne Supernova

by the way, I was talking about girls and Wonderwall, that was dedicated to Noel former wife.
This one down here is for Ana Free, I dedicate it to her, the Portuguese singer and musician.
She also likes Oasis and Nelly Furtado, of Portuguese origins.
Personally, I don't like the Portuguese. Here they don't even pay the tram ^_^, them thieves, and we have bad examples from the moaning bitch Cristiano "Cretino" Ronaldo and the bad-mannered Mourinho. And, don't you just hate it when you're in Portugal and your child goes missing?

Nelly Furtado said she grew up listening to Oasis, she was in love with Liam, etc., she even lost her virginity listening to Wonderwall. Be careful, do not show this to children. In this video: Nelly Furtado losing virginity ahahaha
