Liam suffers from skin psoriasis, an oasis fan snorted his dandruff


LONDON - Photo: Pretty Green with dandruff ahaha Chart star Liam Gallagher has told how a fan once snorted his dandruff – after mistaking it for a chunk of cocaine.
The singer, once noted for his own use of the drug, said the man had spotted a flake from his scalp after he performed at Glastonbury, then popped it up his nostril.
Gallagher told the March edition of Q magazine that he suffers from skin condition psoriasis, which affects much of his body. He said: “I’ve got bad skin. I’ve got psoriasis all over my fucking body. Everywhere except for me face. And every now and again on me head.”
Gallagher said the drug mix-up happened after he had performed at the festival with former band Oasis.
“Everyone’s backstage and this geezer comes up to me off his tits, going ‘I ain’t seen Oasis for fucking years, fucking great’ and I’m going ‘yeah, alright’. And he goes to his mate. ‘look Steve, he’s even got cocaine in his hair’. And he pulls a bit of shit out me hair.”
He claimed the unnamed man then snorted it. The drug is jokingly referred to as “devil’s dandruff”.
He also told Q about his difficult relationship with his brother Noel, who quit Oasis in summer 2009. Liam claimed his brother smashed a guitar bought by his partner Nicole Appleton during the climactic argument which prompted Noel’s walk-out. But he said that despite the final row, the pair had been effectively estranged for years.
“Listen, me and our kid didn’t hang out. It wasn’t like we were best buddies and then summat happened. I’ve always led my life, so’s he, and we’d be like that if we worked in a butcher’s together. He left the band, that’s it,” said Liam.

Elizabeth Hurley is a huge fan of Oasis

LOS ANGELES - Is it so important? Anyway, she's one of us and good to see :)
The English model-and-actress is currently in Los Angeles and decided to go for a drive in her car while listening to the iconic British band – who split in August 2009 after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher had a huge fight before a concert in Paris.
She wrote on her Twitter page: “Rediscovered Oasis today and played them at full blast while zooming around LA. Forgotten how great they were…. (sic)”
After enjoying Oasis’ songs – which include hits such as ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and ‘Live Forever’ – Hurley then unexpectedly ran into supermodel Cindy Crawford while out and about in the city.
She added in another tweet: “Bumped into @CindyCrawford today. She looked amazing; beautiful, vibrant and healthy. Wow…. (sic)”
Liam and Noel were fans of Los Angeles when they were still in Oasis together and they recorded their sixth studio album ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’ in the famous city.

LONDON - After months of snide digs, Liam Gallagher finally has a kind word to say about brother Noel.
The Beady Eye frontman says one day they will patch things up - and thinks Noel's solo stuff will be good.
Liam said: "Listen, me and him will be sweet, man.
"Our little venture's come to an end but I'll never have a bad word about Oasis, it was fuckin' amazing.
"It's why I'm adored by millions. But it's over and we're buzzin'. And I hope our kid's buzzin'. I fuckin' do actually. I hope he's gonna make great records. And he probably will."
However, Liam's brotherly love was short-lived. The singer put the boot in by dishing the dirt about old Oasis riders. He also told Q Magazine - out on January 25 - "It was Noel-y Gallagher who had a little ensemble of fuckin' flowers every week and his little chocolates.
"Like I give a fuck about flowers being in my dressing room.
"We've had to scrape off half the shit on our rider, going 'Oil of Ulay?!' "

Alan: I got into music to avoid proper work, luckily I met a genius called Noel Gallagher

HAY-ON-WYE - Tonight Alan McGee in Milan to play a deejay set with Oasis music too.
Three years ago, when Alan McGee declared he was "finished with music", it seemed like the last we would see of the abrasive Scot who lost his hair and his mind on the way to discovering Oasis, helping them become the biggest rock band in the world.
But here he is in the unlikely setting of Hay-on-Wye, Wales, and even more improbably, feeling intimidated by a group of ladies-who-lunch. "Bloody hell, what a racket," says the man who used to be able to start an argument in an empty recording studio. He wonders what his former charges might be doing. "Being Mods in London, most likely, while I'm dressed in a Barbour and wellies in the middle of nowhere. I really don't think they'd recognise me now."
McGee has a text relationship with Noel Gallagher but hasn't seen him or kid brother Liam for a while, though he's heard the latter's new band, Beady Eye, and pronounces them "pretty rockin'". What was the last CD he bought? "Good question." And his last gig? "Cannae remember." It's apt we're talking in Hay-on-Wye, scene of the literary festival, because books are his obsession now, although being Alan McGee, they're strange books. "I'm big into Aleister Crowley," he confirms.
But McGee, now 50, is very much up for recounting the story of Oasis, Creation Records and how a "daft laddie from Mount Florida Primary in Glasgow" got to be so rich and famous. The reason is the film Upside Down, a rockumentary about his old label. "I thought it would be rubbish. The two Creation books were. One was the accountant's tale and the other was a rush-job based on only two interviews. But this loony Irish director [Danny O'Connor] has made a brilliant movie and I think he's going to be a star."
Upside Down seems to have encouraged McGee to reclaim his mythology. He reveals there are no fewer than three other films recalling Britpop currently in development, to which he's either given his blessing or signed up as a main participant. "One will be about the drugs we all took and another one is called Svengali." Where does he think he stands in the hit parade of rock's charismatic megalomaniacs? "Well, in Britain there's probably a top four. Andrew Loog Oldham [Rolling Stones] is No 1. Malcolm McLaren [Sex Pistols] and Tony Wilson [the Factory supremo] are both dead so I'm claiming the No 2 spot. No disrespect to Geoff Travis [of the Rough Trade empire] but I'd rather get piles than watch a film about him." He enjoys his own joke some more. "Yes, a film about Geoff would be about as interesting as a haemorrhoid."
But if you're thinking Upside Down is a hagiography, you'd be wrong. The film expects McGee to brag but it also gets him to be self-critical. "I was a wanker," he says at one point. Later: "I was a professional drug addict." And again: "I actually thought I was up there with Beethoven and Shakespeare – I was absolutely delusional."
The movie is being premiered at next month's Glasgow Film Festival and our story begins in the city the night Bobby Gillespie, too young to attend a Thin Lizzy gig by himself, knocked on the door of his slightly older school-pal McGee. Gillespie would go on to become the singer in Primal Scream – one of the great Creation bands alongside Oasis, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain and Teenage Fanclub – and author Irvine Welsh says in the film that the relationship between these "two old-skool Glasgow punk-rockers" was crucial.
But didn't McGee want to be a rock star? The man in the country casuals says not. "My band, Laughing Apple, was just a hobby band. In 1981 we packed it in after a horrible night in Edinburgh, playing to a bunch of squares at the university, which ended in a fight, our bass guitar being stolen and the van being written off on black ice." The McGee of this period had a cartoon-shock of ginger hair.
The film spreads the Creation credit around, and McGee's trusty accomplices were Joe Foster and Dick Green, the latter recalling a first impression of McGee as a "mad, totally overpowering presence". McGee was drinking away the £700-a-week that London club-nights were earning him until good, old-fashioned "Protestant guilt" took hold, the label being formed in 1983. Have any of the other traditional Scottish personality traits proved useful? "Well, I think from my mum, who died 20 years ago, I got my astuteness in making money and my dad was a cunt, basically. I don't mean that he was horrible, just stubborn in that very Scottish way, which has been invaluable. He's still alive and finally, at 77, I think he's softening."
McGee, a former British Rail clerk, got into music to avoid proper work. "Luckily I met a genius called Noel Gallagher and 60 million records later I'm still dodging any real graft." Oasis were discovered by McGee, propping up the bill at King Tut's Wah-Wah Hut in Glasgow [where he had to meet a model but found Oasis, better than a model].
Noel remembers his star-maker like this: "White jeans, red shoes, red hair and looking like he'd been on acid for six months – I just thought, 'What the fuck?'"[ahahaha] McGee, who was with his little sister, Susan, was convinced after the second song. "I fluked getting them because I was there."
With contributions from almost all the prime movers and groovers, Upside Down offers insight into McGee's business practices. He stage-managed riots to get publicity for the Jesus and Mary Chain gigs. Armed with an unwieldy first-generation mobile phone nicknamed "the cosh", he stole Ride from under the noses of Warners. When My Bloody Valentine went over budget, he feigned a nervous breakdown to get them to finish their album. And to investigate the nascent sounds of acid house, he moved to Manchester and "went mental for a year". He told his bands about this thrilling mix of indie and dance. "Bobby [Gillespie] got it and so did Kevin [Shields, My Bloody Valentine] but when I took Guy Chadwick [The House of Love] to a club all he did was take his clothes off."
All this hedonism took its toll on Creation, however, and especially McGee. One female member of staff admits in the film: "The first time I ever took Ecstasy was at work." Drugs were couriered to the office and another employee recalls McGee's loudspeaker announcements ordering them into the "bunker" following the latest delivery. But, en route to America to cement his reputation as the industry's pre-eminent party animal, he collapsed on a plane and had to be carted off by paramedics. Noel Gallagher says Oasis' greatest successes were "tinged with sadness" because McGee missed them as he cleaned up and dried out.
McGee says now: "I don't regret anything. When I turned 50 I was able to accept that everything that happened to me was written before I was born. Heroin wasn't my drug of choice, although I wasn't adverse to the odd dabble to bring me down. I did Ecstasy, cocaine, acid and everything else and I had a blast." Creation lost its independence to Sony and shut down for good in 1999.
"Maybe Oasis playing to half a million people at Knebworth [1996] would have been the proper time to stop, but that would have meant missing out on Britpop. Everyone in the UK seems to hate Britpop now, but in places like Italy where I'm DJ-ing this weekend, they still want to talk about it.
I don't regret those canapés with Tony Blair. I quite like him as a human being, although I haven't seen him in years either."
McGee, who also has a son from his first marriage, lives quietly with his second wife, Kate Holmes, and their ten-year-old daughter, Charlotte, on a leyline "in the middle of bloody nowhere". During his DJ turns, "waving my hands in the air for a thousand euros a night", he accepts a friend's description of him as a "camp, Scottish Mick Jagger".
He buys and sells property and has been known to make profits of 1000 per cent. He scours secondhand books shops for rare copies of Crowley's books plus other occult and chaos magick favourites. But mostly he likes being a "housedad".
"I'm a really difficult person," he admits, "and I don't think I'd like to be related to me. But Kate and Charlie love me for who I am and everyone else just has to put up with Alan McGee. Do I think I'm lucky to still be here? Of course. Coming from Scotland I did used to think I'd be cauld by the time I was 60, although these days I'm trying to be a bit more optimistic. And do you know that only this morning Charlie told me she expects me to still be around when I'm 110?" Well he did once know the know the Live Forever guys …

Noel Gallagher's charity single: Oasis star gives away disc to help special school

MANCHESTER - Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher has donated a signed platinum disc to raise money for a special school.
Guitarist Noel handed over the disc, which he received for sales of hit single Roll With It, to be auctioned for a charity which supports Lancasterian School in West Didsbury.
The school provides specialist education for 96 children with a range of physical difficulties and complex medical needs.
It recently won a battle to remain on its current site after securing council-funded renovations, but there is a shortfall for much needed equipment.
The disc, signed on the back by Burnage-born Noel, together with a signed letter of provenance, will be auctioned in a sale of rock and pop memorabilia this weekend.
The single, from the band’s second album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, reached number two in the UK Singles Chart in 1995, and is expected to sell for more than £3,000.
The platinum disc, presented for sales of more than 200,000 copies, is the star lot in the Omega Auctions sale, to be held at Dunham Massey Village Hall, near Altrincham.
Auctioneer Paul Fairweather said: "It’s safe to say this disc is one of a kind and a must for any Oasis fan."
He will donate his sellers’ commission to the charity, Friends of Lancasterian School, which aims to build a new hydrotherapy unit.
Parent and fundraiser Samantha Hough said: "We were staggered when Noel donated his platinum disc for us to sell. He is a friend of the partner of one of the nursery staff and as soon as he heard we were fundraising, he sent the disc straight away. We are thrilled with his generosity."
"Children benefit so much from hydrotherapy but the present pool is in desperate need of being replaced.
"We need £120,000 to reach our target," she added.
The Omega auction features rare rock, pop and entertainment memorabilia including several Beatles autographs and Cavern cards, rare records, film posters and James Bond material.
Viewing is tomorrow from noon to 8pm and on the morning of the sale from 9am. The sale starts at 11am and will also be live for online bidding in real time at the-saleroom.com

Oasis fan Mancini meets Liam

MANCHESTER - Liam Gallagher took a seat at the City of Manchester Stadium last night to watch the FA Cup 3rd Round Replay between Manchester City and Leicester City.
After initially drawing the first leg 2-2, the replay did not disappoint, ending 4-2 to the home team. The pick of the goals, a great solo effort and unstoppable shot from Carlos Tevez.
At the final whistle Liam took some time to answer questions and also meet the Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini. Manchester City will now travel to Meadow Lane to face Notts County in the 4th Round of the FA Cup.

Gaz Coombes waiting for Beady Eye & Noel: that hold on Lennon is still very apparent

LONDON - Gaz Coombes reckons Noel Gallagher's forthcoming debut solo album will be more challenging than his brother's new band, Beady Eye. 
The ex Supergrass frontman is looking forward to albums from the ex-Oasis guitarist and his singer brother, but thinks Noel will be the more experimental of the two.
He told Bang Showbiz: "Beady Eye - it's very Liam, if there was anything you'd expect him to bring out, that sums him up. That hold on John Lennon is still very apparent.
"I think that's what's important really when you embark on a new project, to express what you want and how you sing naturally, and that's what he's done.
"But I think it's within Noel to kind of explore and to challenge himself as well, I'm a bit more open as to what Noel might do."

Liam: Beady Eye is about having fun. Gem: jukebox classics for the pub

LONDON - Liam told Mojo: "We had the little fella who was taking charge, doing his thing and I think he just hogged it a bit. Now it's totally different."
When asked if it was liberating, Liam said: "I don't know man, nah, because I loved being in Oasis. Oasis was free too. But it had obviously got stuck in a rut, or it was moving that kind of way, and people don't like change. It's just nice being behind a microphone, being involved in music. I guess I just have more energy then our kid. He's grown up. The guy's writing songs for fifty year olds. It's about having fun isn't it? Fucking young people these days want to be old people. Sat listening to Bob Dylan and shit, thinking too much. It's about getting a sweat on, that's what it's about."
When asked how the last days of Oasis were, Liam said: "After some gigs there was no vibe, in the dressing room, and that it was like, fucking hell here we go again, fucking nobody speaking. I mean, when me and the lads were together we'd have great time but then when the other one came in... fucking hell, it was like someone had been shot. And that ain't fun. So this time we can have a laugh."
"How's it been writing songs for Beady Eye?" Liam: "They've all been writing songs for years. I'm still new to it so I don't have a formula yet. I don't go for walks in the park, or fucking read Oscar Wilde or shit like that. I just get a fuckking guitar and give it a fukking kick around the room. Write a couple of words down and see where it goes. And if it gets me sweating and that, I bring it to the guys and if they get involved, all the better."
Speaking on the bands name Liam said "It's just a change isn't it? I don't know man, it's just, "keep an eye out on the fucking fuck-wits" isn't it? We came up with a few other ones, but I'm not telling you what they were."

More about the album. Gem said: "We rehearsed it, we had it almost like a set, so we could put a lot of these songs down live. The word 'psychedelia' has been used. I always say that is a very large word, almost meaningless to some people. So I would just say 'colourful'. There's a bit of Brian Jones-era Stones, a bit of Elvis. When I say the psychedelia thing, I'd compare it to when The Kinks were slightly psychedelic. Most of it's stripped down in a kind of kitchen-sink way, and almost always trying to keep a light on it's feet, like a debut album should be. I still remember the term 'jukebox classic', tunes you'd stick on in the pub.
Liam said: "It's not soppy ballardy shit. They're some good ballsy tunes. I mean, a couple of tunes are just a bit slower than the rest, but they've got a bit of balls. It's 90 per cent rocking. If Oasis were black and white this is proper, proper Technicolour."
About 'Sons Of The Stage': "Ah man, that's fucking rocking. It was the first song we did actually. Our DJ Phil Smith used to play it before we came on at some of our gigs. So we rehearsed that one one, then we did 'We Love You' by the Stones, but we thought, Fuck it, this one is more obscure. I saw them at the Ritz in Manchester. They were a top band. They were Pulp before Pulp were pop."

アルバム全曲レヴュー!- (Beady Eye) album songs review

TOKYO - ビーディ・アイのファースト・アルバム『ディファレント・ギア、スティル・スピーディング』、レヴュー解禁! リアムが自身のロックンロールの血とビートルズへの愛を存分に迸らせた全13曲。さっそくトラック・バイ・トラックで紹介します。

1. Four Letter Word
セカンド・ストリート・シングルとしてすでにビデオが公開されている。
「4文字言葉」と題された、ハード・エッジなリフからたたみかけるキレのあるロックンロール。ピストルズの攻撃性と、ツェッペリンの鋭さと、オアシスのスケール感がガツンとぶつかり合ったような、オープニング・トラックとしてあまりにも強烈な先制パンチとなっている。間奏のゲムによるギター・ソロも生き生きとしていて気持ちいい。

2. Millionaire
アコースティック・ギターから入ってくる、軽やかなサイケ・ナンバー。アシッド決めまくったビーチ・ボーイズというか、ハイになったジョン・レノンというか。スライド・ギターの上を滑る舌ったらずなリアムのヴォーカルが、愛嬌があってちょっとかわいらしい。

3. The Roller
これが正式なファースト・シングル。もともとはオアシスの『ヒーザン・ケミストリー』のセッションのときからすでにあった曲だ。
歌いだしから連想するのはもちろん“愛こそはすべて”だが、中間部からは“ハーフ・ザ・ワールド・アウェイ”を思い浮かべたりもする。サビのメロディはむしろポール・マッカートニーっぽいかも。ビデオではゲムがピアノを弾いている。バンドの「近い」感じがことさらに伝わってくる温かい曲。

4. Beatles and Stones
タイトルがタイトルだけにどんな曲かと思いきや、リズムのハネる感じとギターの響きは思いっきりザ・フー(!!)。ロックンロールにブチのめされて、ロックンロールやりてえ!と叫ぶ……という、多少クリシェ的にロックンロールへの憧れを描いた曲で、“ブリング・ザ・ライト”と並んでもっともシンプルなコードで突き進む、明快にして痛快なナンバーだ。「ロックンロールがしてえ」というのはリアムの本音だと思う。それがビーディ・アイを走らせている。

5. Wind Up Dream
ちょっとニール・ヤングっぽい感じもあるダークなブルース・ロック。アルバムのほかのトラックがわりとアップリフティングなメロディで貫かれているのに対して、この曲だけは毛色が違う。ギター・ソロとヴォーカルの絡み合いなど、オアシスのときにはほとんど感じられなかった「艶」が印象に残る。

6. Bring the Light
おなじみ、記念すべきビーディ・アイのファースト・トラック。
ジェリー・リー・ルイス、あるいは70年代ストーンズ風のピアノ・ブギー。シンプルきわまりない、ストレートなロックンロールでありながら、明らかに「オアシスではない」このトラックを「第一声」に選んだところに、ビーディ・アイのプライドと気合いが表れている。要するに「ギアを変えたぜ、でもロックンロールだぜ」ということだ。ベイビー・カモン!

7. For Anyone
ポップなメロディが心に響く、ネオアコ調ナンバー。“ソングバード”あたりにも通じるジェントルな雰囲気を感じるミッド・チューン。ビートルズのポップな側面を思いっきり引き出した感じ、といってもいい。ハンドクラップや60sポップ風リズムがかわいらしい印象を残しつつ、歌詞はといえばかなりベタなラヴソングとなっている。

8. Kill for a Dream
“シャンペン・スーパーノヴァ”にもタメをはりそうな、超傑作バラード! “ヘイ・ジュード”ゆずりの「ナ・ナ・ナ」コーラスで盛り上げる。このアルバム中でもっとも「オアシスっぽい」曲があるとすればこれだといえるかもしれないが、ひょっとしたらオアシス時代から温めてきた楽曲という可能性もある。

9. Standing on the Edge of the Noise
グラマラスな爆裂ロックンロール。“ブリング・ザ・ライト”に近いイメージだけど、こっちのほうが数段ハードだ。アルバム中でもっともリアムのヴォーカルが荒っぽい。“ドライヴ・マイ・カー”と“ゲット・バック”を足したような、つまりは中期〜後期のビートルズ・ロックンロール・マナー。

10. Wigwam
ストリングスの音色とグルーヴで聴かせる、モダンなサイケデリック・ロック。「シャ・ラ・ラ」コーラスや“オール・アラウンド・ザ・ワールド”的な大風呂敷感など、なんとなくアルバムのフィナーレっぽくもある。リアムのファルセットが聴けるのもポイント。本当に、このアルバムでのリアムの声は若々しい。

11. The Ring Circus (Three Ring Circus)
タイトルは「バカ騒ぎ」という意味。ジョン・レノン的ロックンロールで、重厚なブルース・ロックの雰囲気もある。ヴォーカルとコーラスで輪唱するところは、なんとなくオアシスのときを思い出させる。後期オアシスの延長線上にある曲ともいえ、これももしかしたらオアシス時代からある曲なのかも。

12. The Beat Goes On
ジョン・レノン節炸裂のバラードで、聴いた瞬間にリアム!という感じ。同時にドラマティックな展開は『アビイ・ロード』のメドレーも連想させたりもする。この曲と7曲目“フォー・エニワン”のスウィートなムードが、アルバム全体のなかでアクセントとして聴いている。優しげなヴォーカルもいい。

13. The Morning Son
アコースティックな弾き語りナンバーから、ドラムが入ってきて大きく展開する、アルバムの最後にふさわしい大作。逆回転ギターやストリングスなど、あらゆる方法論をつぎ込んで壮大なスケールを生み出している。“ホワットエヴァー”を連想させるところもある。

というわけで以上13曲。
「ロッキング・オン」3月号(2月1日発売)ではどの曲を誰が書いたのか、そしてアルバムの背景について、メンバー全員にがっつり聴いていますのでそちらもよろしく!(小川)

2. Millionaire
Coming from an acoustic guitar and light psychedelic number. Beach Boys decided that I earnestly acid, or that John Lennon was high. Less than Liam vocals and slide guitar'll slip over the tongue, there are cute little charm.

3. The Roller
This is the official first single. Oasis heathen chemistry [originally] from the time he already had music sessions.
Intonation as well as to associate with "All You Need Is Love," but from the middle of "Half The World Away," they also think of the. The chorus melody is probably rather like Paul McCartney. In the video, Gem is playing the piano. The band is "close" to the tune particularly warm feeling comes through.

4. Beatles and Stones
And just what I thought the title song title, and the guitar sound like a rhythm Haneru Who思Ikkiri (!!). Bti is Mesa's rock and roll, rock Yaritee! ... And a cry, a song depicting the yearning to rock and roll and a little cliche, "Bring the Light" rush along with the most simple code, but to the number piquant clarity. "What is to rock and roll" is the truth I think Liam. Beady Eye're running it.

5. Wind Up Dream
Some like dark blues-rock feel a little Neil Young. Running through to the uplifting melodies of the album and other tracks instead of the usual, this song just a different hair color. Such as intertwining guitar and vocal solo, was not felt when the little oasis "glaze" is impressive.

6. Bring the Light
Familiar, memorable Beady Eye Fast Track.
Jerry Lee Lewis-style boogie piano, or 70 Stones. Kiwamarinai simple, straightforward rock and roll, yet, obviously, "The Oasis is not" track this "first word" I chose to have reflected the Beady Eye pride and fighting spirit. In short "I changed the gear, it'll still rock and roll," they say. C'mon baby!

7. For Anyone
Inspirational pop melody, Neo adjusted numbers. "Songbird," a gentle tune mid lead also feel the atmosphere around. Pop思Ikkiri aspects like the Beatles drew, good to say. Pretty impressive, and it still Handokurappu 60s pop style rhythm, and song lyrics have become a fairly cliched love this.

8. Kill for a Dream
"Champagne Supernova" is also likely to Tame beam, super ballad masterpiece! "Hey Jude" the inheritance "Na Na Na" piled up in the chorus. During most of this album, "like an oasis," he might say if there is this song, music that could possibly have been warming up since the days oasis.

9. Standing on the Edge of the Noise
Glamorous rock explosion. "Bring the Light" image but the close, but here is more of a hard stage. Liam rough vocals in the album the most. "Drive My Car" and "Get Back" as the sum, ie mid-late Beatles ~ rock manner.

10. Wigwam

And, in an interview with an Italian newspaper, the 20-year-old also rubbished claims Wayne Rooney is the best striker in the Premier League, saying the United star isn't even the best in Manchester.

Mario is totally right. Here is not a comparison Balotelli-Messi, but Man City attack-Barcelona attack. They don't even have a good 3rd one. You should compare the MINUTES played, Balotelli scores more than 1 goal per match, Messi doesn't. Balotelli already won everything at 19 years old (Champions League-Italian league-Italian Cup), Messi at 25 a ghost who wasn't even able to pass a ball at the World Cup. Stats and eyes don't lie.
Defences in Spain are laughable. If Messi played in England he would be already injured at the 2nd game, in Italy he would score the half, as it's all about tactics.

In another trademark shock blast, Balotelli suggested his former boss at Inter Jose Mourinho (who accused Mario of being a kid) needs to grow up. Balotelli sensationally claimed: "Mourinho is the best coach in the world (is he?) but as a man he has a lot to learn about politeness and respect."

Isle of Wight, sold out gigs, European tickets & aftershows

MILAN - Tickets for the summer show are all snapped up. Isle of Wight Festival tickets have sold out, organisers have confirmed today. The festival - which is set to take place at Seaclose Park between June 10th and 12th - will feature headline performances from Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighers and the recently reformed Pulp (+The Script). Further acts appearing on the bill include (ex Oasis) Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye, Manic Street Preachers, Jeff Beck, Tom Jones, Public Image Limited, Iggy and The Stooges, Seasick Steve, Pixie Lott, Plan B and Boy George.
Festival promoter, John Giddings, told Isle of Wight Radio, "It's fantastic to sell out five months in advance. The 10th anniversary is going to be a vintage year".

Alan: “I don’t like music anymore and I can't stand London…have kids!"

MILAN - In the next days in Italy, known for masterminding independent labels Creation Records and Poptones, Alan McGee’s name has perhaps secured greater household prominence above the controversy of his various credentials.
The households of which we speak are far removed from the nuclear or even reconstituted archetypes – but rather that of the bohemians, the alternatives, the students and the unemployed. And the controversy he has been attached to is that raised by rowdy seniors Oasis, and their beneficiaries the Libertines. So what has this pioneer got to say about the state of our music industry, current and past? We tried to find out for you:

How important was your long-term friendship with Bobby Gillespie in making Creation a success in the early years?

Alan: Gillespie was key to Creation. Without him I wouldn’t have had Primal Scream, who really are the flagship Creation band, and he told me about JAMC and the Fanclub. I found Oasis, MBV and Ride.

You’ve said in the past that by 1993 Creation probably needed Oasis as much as Oasis needed Creation.
But did you think that night in Glasgow you’d found the band which would effectively solve all the label’s problems?

No, I just thought they were a great band. I signed them really at the end of the day on ‘…Walrus’ as it was a great version, but who was to ever think they would become that massive?

There’s plenty of classics to choose from, but is there one album released on the Creation label you hold closest to your heart?

Probably the first Oasis album or Trashmonk – ‘Mona Lisa Overdrive’ which I love.

The Libertines burst on to the scene with the unusual mix of outrage and intimacy. Do you feel that there’s a surge of music about to come from somewhere else?

I know fuck all about new bands to be honest. I am more interested in the occult and ‘majick’.

Or perhaps all the danger, controversy and individuality has come and gone because the shock factor has been worn out. With the sea once again settled, do you believe that another hurricane can come and rock the boat?

I don’t care to be honest. I’m 50 – I don’t like music anymore. To be honest, it bores the shit out of me – people in bands bore me.

So what of Oasis’ break up? It certainly seems to have reinvigorated Liam, and there’s lots expected from Noel’s album. Do you think by 2009 a split had become the best thing for the brothers?

Yeah, they needed to go do their own thing which they are doing.

Not long after they split you expected a reunion within five years. Do you still hold that opinion?

Let’s see. I still think it’s unfinished business.

Did you get the same buzz from listening to some of Noel’s new material as you did when hearing tracks from ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘…Morning Glory’ all those years ago?

Well his new songs are the best thing I have heard since the Glasvegas demos. To be honest, it’s only the Gallaghers and Glasvegas I like in modern music, other than that it’s still The Beatles for me.

You could almost call Beady Eye a Creation band since former label mates Gem Archer and Andy Bell are still involved. People should be well aware of Andy Bell’s career before Oasis, but what of Gem Archer? Do you feel Heavy Stereo were a band with unfulfilled potential?

They were really good. Ride were amazing. Good luck to Liam – he’s very warm hearted and very like-able is Mr G.

Talking of unfulfilled potential, are you hopeful the recent Libertines reunion might lead to some long overdue new material?

No contact with them bar Gary. I live in Wales and can’t stand London so no idea what they are up to.

Is there a band you turned down at some point in your career that you now wished you’d have signed?

Stone Roses – we should have got, we didn’t, and maybe Pulp. I think we were offered them 23 times.

…and if you could’ve have any band from history on Creation who would you have picked?

The Beatles.

Who is the best band you feel you have worked with – your favourite?

Teenage Fanclub, everyone a gent.

The next venture after Creation, Poptones, was shorter lived, but you still signed some great bands and unleashed The Hives on the UK around the time when music was starting to find its legs again. Is that a period you look back on with fondness?

It was what it was. I am still very friendly with Pelle and I love that band.

Another band you had on Poptones was The Boxer Rebellion. They’re a band who’s progress we’ve followed closely on Live4ever. Are you proud of the success they’ve managed to achieve off their own backs since leaving the label?

Yeah good on them. We had a deal with Universal and they got shafted by Universal but the good will out.

Who currently have you got your eyes on for success?

I am reading a book called ‘Love, Sex, Fear, Death – The Inside Story of The Process Church of The Final Judgement’, by Timothy Wylie. As I say I find music boring at 50.

Do you have any advise for bands trying to make it?

Become a hairdresser…

Can you see your potential feature film on Creation Records becoming a bit of a 24 Hour Party People mark two? Or would you steer it away from that?

Me and Tim Abbot want to write our drug tales ’88-’94 and are going to do that this year. We have the stories and I love the Abbot’s Tim and Chris

‘Indie music’ has become a genre – even for bands signed to major labels. Do you feel that this takes something away from the uniquity of actual indie bands? Would it make it harder or easier for them to gain recognition?

It’s just a term.

Before managing bands, you have previously played in them. Would you ever take a more hands on approach in a musical group again?

No.

And finally, what do you feel is missing from awareness in music? What can fill that gap?

Have some kids! People that don’t have kids are freaks.

preparing the Beady Eye venue


MILAN - As you remember in a video by me, Milan in 2000 @ Forum was the first "Beady Eye" concert, in the sense of first concert without Noel. From the archives, this here is a short version (plus something else coming to my mind) for the new email readers, of my memories about Milan Alcatraz 2005, where Beady Eye will perform. I see also many foreign people are coming, also because Beady Eye gigs are not so many now, and not in every country. I know some people are reading and they're jealous because they don't have a concert there, so come here :). Support band was a terrible duo similar to the fucking Norwegian Kings of Convenience (why do I always find bad-mannered people from there? Is it the cold freezing their Norwegian wood brain? Really, what a fucking bunch of assholes! -  no gig there, good, lol) ...we were sleeping, they were not "very Oasis"... well it was like having the song "I don't believe the world outside my room" all the time :), nice but zzz...not for a concert... anyway, that's really a song-"mirror" of the people today, not believing in anything. And the crowd was shouting everything against them. They "saved" themselves just because one was wearing an Oasis t-shirt, lol.
If Mario Balotelli sees it's at a place called Alcatraz, he would be interested ahaha (you remember, he entered a jail "for fun").
This was at the beginning of the "Don't believe the truth" tour. The album was not out yet, it was a kind of "preview" gig (in fact there was another concert in October @ Forum, that time with the Coral), so the new songs were... new :)
We were getting bored waiting for the gig because it was just springtime but hot, as it could be this March. I met a girl, who was from "the blue suburban skies" :) (to quote the Beatles), so her name was Penny Lane :) (no it was not the groupie from the film Almost Famous :). The little town where she was from (called Novate Milanese, or Champagne SuperNovate Milanese :) was the closest to where Oasis would have performed their last concert ever in 2009, but as we know, then unfortunately they didn't.
But, as that is the place of Milan Expo 2015, we have to be optimist also about the Gallaghers future, in fact it seems to be bright as usual.
So, Penny Lane wanted to have a walk around with me... ok, let's go.
We had a too large walk around, in fact we went back to the centre, quite far from Alcatraz.
We were in the park where I used to play football when I was a child, and we sunbathed a bit, almost falling asleep in the sun for how good it was.
Then we went in front of the Football English pub where Oasis have been, to the big french shop of music where once I met Suede (and Placebo, with Brian Molko winking his eye at me, no comment). Though I'm allergic to pollen, I had no problems in the park, very strange (Penny Lane, very strange :) but inside the french shop I had like 100 sneezes (and Penny Lane was continuously laughing all the time... you can write a song about all this :) and me sneezing. I knew my main allergy is not the pollen but the french, lol.
Then we came back to Alcatraz, where we met a boy from Naples (then I met him other times, as @ an Oasis gig in Florence), who was very similar to Liam :), you know, in Naples "copying things" is very typical :)), and he wanted to sell us the new Oasis cd, two weeks before it was coming out ahaha (this seems me with Beady Eye album preview :). It's better that Noel doesn't read this, Noel wants the money. Naples people usually are very funny, and this one too.
The there was my "famous" rescue of Melissa, the "escape from Alcatraz" :)



Fucking in the bushes & Turn up the sun: it was a new song, so the people were more excited for Oasis than for the song itself they didn't know. Notice Liam repeating the first sentence 2 times, cos he couldn't hear well, there was too much noise from the people (and also because he often forgets the lyrics ehehe). This song was my alarm clock in the morning from 2005 to 2008 (listen to the great cd version). I love this tune (by Andy), inspired by the bittersweet movie Midnight cowboy, with Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, the father of Angelina Jolie (songs as Everybody's talking at me, by Harry Nilsson)

The Sand Band's McDonnell in Noel's backing band


LIVERPOOL - The Sand Band's singer and guitarist David McDonnell will be playing in Noel Gallagher's new backing band, but don't hold that against him. In this instance, the elder Gallagher's ears are clearly in perfect nick: the Liverpudlian quintet's debut album is excellent. Its chief influences are drawn from either side of the Pennines, namely the more wistful, folk side of fellow Scouser Michael Head, leader of Gallagher favourites Shack, as well as the shimmering ballads of Sheffield's Richard Hawley. Somehow, McConnell is even more melancholic than either, making this the ideal accompaniment to a quietly nursed pint.

Leonardo shit man

MILAN - Leonardo uomo di merda. Here he is, the "shit man" I was saying. Many players changed team, even passing from Inter Milan to AC Milan (almost never the contrary), but they weren't managers and didn't stay so long @ AC as Leonardo (about 13 years) before joining Inter, so of course the fans now hate him, also because they supported him when he "argued" with the  President Berlusconi, and almost everybody (not me, maybe the only one, lol) was even against the President, to support Leonardo. Now they're supporting the President again. I knew that fucking President is always right, lol.
Some days ago during the press conference the Brazilian said ridiculous things about him, being "a romantic" (!) and excessively prasing Mourinho (usually he hated him), so he gave the impression, more than a romantic, of being more a bitch. And last year said he doesn't feel to be a manager, wouldn't have been a manager for a long time, etc.
The funny thing is that in the world of football you know it's full of ignorant people, and these characters, just because they can speak some languages and "entertain" the people, are seen as geniuses. Outside this world, they would be just normal people. I can speak some languages but I'm not a genius. Well, to be honest, I am a bit lol, but not for the languages.
Inter now started to win some (easy) games thanks to this AC man (if I was an Inter fan, I wouldn't be so happy) and they're all excited for nothing, even already speaking about a "remuntada" to reach AC on the top of the league... (Inter fans are famous for speaking too early) ...that Catalan word was used by Barcelona and they failed... so use it again please. I wonder when Inter could do a "remuntada" to reach AC 18 international trophies... 3 lives wouldn't be enough.

Wonderball

GLASGOW - Pop megastar Liam has become the latest in a long line of celebrities to back a campaigning football team.
The Oasis singer was in Glasgow to launch his new clothes shop, Pretty Green, and was besieged by hundreds of fans and paparazzi.
But that didn’t stop Renfrewshire United boss John Plott fighting his way through the heaving throng to ‘have a word’.
He told the Paisley Daily Express: “I wasn’t really surprised how busy it was, to be honest.
“The opening of the shop had been cancelled in December because of the weather and the new date had been well publicised in the papers and on radio.
“The one thing I couldn’t believe though was the amount of Liam ‘clones’ that were there. It was really spooky because everyone looked just like him!”
But John, who campaigns against bigotry and racism through his football club, managed a word with one of his musical idols and, more importantly, grabbed the opportunity to hand over one of the famous blue and green United tops – with ‘Wonderball’ emblazoned across the front.
He said: “Ingram Street was packed and we must have waited there for over an hour, but it was well worth it.
“I didn’t think we’d get near him when I saw the crowds but we’ve never given up in our lives and managed to fight our way to the front.
“When he got out his car I stepped forward and told him a bit about the team.
“He said, ‘that sounds great, mate’ and I passed him the strip. He said thanks and wished us good luck before making his way though the crowd into his shop.
“I thought ‘Wonderball’ was appropriate as one of Oasis’ biggest hits was ‘Wonderwall’.”
In the past, Plott and co have presented a strip to ex-Manchester City boss Mark Hughes, ex-City footballer Craig Bellamy (he got arrested the other day), and Chelsea captain John Terry.

AC Milano A.Cassano as John Lennon: "above us only sky"

MILANELLO - Official presentation today for the 'bad boy' Antonio Cassano @ AC Milan (photo with Galliani), the best Italian player today. Usually saying bad words, today he surprised the people and even used the same words by John Lennon, "sopra di noi solo il cielo", saying this is the last chance in his career and that he can't fail 'cause he reached the top of football joining our team, and if he fails here he said he should "go to the madhouse". Cassano, though it was months he wasn't playing ('cause he argued with his ex president), and didn't play the World Cup, already gave 3 decisive assists in the few minutes he played in 2 games. He lives in the centre of Milan as me, he said he chose the centre to please his (recently married) wife.
Bad news from the bad boy Balotelli @ Manchester City: hospital again, he's out for some weeks, maybe months. It seems sure he will join Milan in June, the team in his heart. Be careful 'cause Milan is even the favourite team of the new City striker Dzeko (tomorrow playing his first game). As the city of Milan anthem says: "...but then everybody's coming to Milan".

the Relays to be support band @ Beady Eye gigs

MILAN - So there's Miles Kane @ Beady Eye gigs in UK. The people are asking: what about the other shows in Europe?
We would propose the Relays, it would be great. Hope there's no Twisted fucking Wheel lol, and no Free fucking Peace ahaha as @ Oasis shows in 2009, they were quite boring bands, the Relays are much better. A great one was Glasvegas, at my last Oasis concert ever, in Switzerland, but they're quite busy now (a new song is out in the next days). Another good one was the Coral @ Milan Forum 2005. But the best support band ever for Oasis gigs of course it was Stereophonics.
There's gonna be new material from the Relays soon, and a video, made by a famous person, Oasis-related ehehe stay tuned :)
Today Beady Eye in their status wrote that the gig in Milan has now sold out. Well, it was already sold out some weeks ago, but anyway there are still some tickets around. Looks like there are too many Noel's fans here, lol... joking... The truth about being sold out only now is that the people here in Italy are jealous as fuck about Milan, and they always complain that all the gigs are in Milan, so they were still hoping Beady Eye could perform @ other venues, and many bought the tickets at last. Quite stupid, 'cause if it was sold out soon, probably Beady Eye would have added other venues.
The people are also asking: what about the aftershow? :) Liam at the Football English pub :)

MILAN - Liam Gallagher says he's not partying anymore but stays at home also on Saturday nights to watch "Strictly come dancing" on tv (and it seems he was influenced in the dancing songs "Bring the light" and "The Roller" :), recently I often did the same with "Io canto" :) (=I sing), the tv programme where kids sing (and it seems I was influenced too, in fact I date girls half my age, lol!), concert on 12 February @ Milan Palasharp. On tv there were also famous international singers to listen to them (also James Blunt, so Noel Gallagher would have never attended, lol - do you remember, Noel sold the house when Blunt became his neighbour in Ibiza, where he first met Sara).
My favourites are the Romanian Andreea Olariu, now living in Milan (she reminded me of Nikka Costa when I was a child, successful thanks to the famous talent scout Tony Renis from Milan), and the Italian Silvia Iannone, but there are many, they sing as adults, even much better than so many famous singers, and they're also terribly sweet :). Andreea now attends a singing school in Milan, Cristian even in America.

Gem: a new band at this age is fucking amazing. Liam: working with them is like putting on a great fucking jacket

LONDON - Liam said: "when I'm singing anything that Gem or Andy have written, it just feels absolutely natural for me. There's not a single song of theirs where I'm like, 'Fuck this, it doesn't feel like me', or that I can't get involved in. It's like putting on a great fucking jacket, you know what I mean? I know I can wear it well".
Gem said: "To be in a new band at this stage of your life is just fucking amazing, man. When we were writing the album it was like, first tune - fucking great. The next one - wow. Then you get up to about six or seven and you start thinking 'When are we going to write a clanger?' And we didn't man. There's not one bad tune on there".
Andy has said, as Liam the other day, that "Oasis were a great band, but that part of our lives is over now. We picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off and got Beady Eye going. And that's a great thing. You've got to look at this as an opportunity instead of just sitting there and being miserable about it. What's the point of that".
Bell also said: "The magic was with us from the beginning, and it's still with us now. Everything we do just falls into place".

Maldini: "never @ Inter" +new McLaren 4 February

MILAN - Inter Milan fans can only DREAM about him. Paolo Maldini, AC Milan legend (he won more trophies than Inter & Juventus teams in their whole histories), who retired in 2009 aged 41, was recently "close to Inter", according to gossip. Of course it was false, and today the Milan-born (and playing for AC Milan since he was a child) said he never had contacts with them, and he could never work for them. Ex AC Milan Brazilian Leonardo is the new Inter manager, so last Sunday AC fans at the stadium wrote "shit man" about him. Now Inter team is starting to win games thanks to an ex AC man...
Maldini said he's not surprised he joined them and that he's different from Leonardo and will never join Inter. He also said he's waiting for AC Milan to call him to have a job with us.
Maldini is working for his fashion brand Sweet Years, together with ex Inter & AC Milan striker Vieri, and met Oasis' Liam Gallagher in Milan, exchanging fashion gifts (he appears in a Pretty Green video in Milan). He's also busy with his family, as Noel Gallagher :), and with boxing (as Noel Gallagher :)
Here he's pictured in Milanello, where we organize the meetings (this spring too, with out Milan's Dutch sponsor) with the centenary shirt (1899 English-Italians foundation). In the whole football history, he's the best example for the young players, 'cause he was very correct (another one: Milan's Marco Van Basten), unlike Maradona, Zidane and similar ones (we all know about Maradona crazy life and unfair gestures playing football - especially a famous one against England, using his hand as thieves, or wankers, if you prefer -, and Zidane too, more than one time using his head - but not the brain - against other players).

Meanwhile, the new 2011 McLaren will be the last car to be presented, on 4 February. Probably this means that another innovative surprise is coming out from the English car... Our drivers Button and Hamilton are the only ones who didn't test the new Italian Pirelli tyres for the 2011 championship, it was the English test driver Paffett testing them for McLaren.

Noel saw the quote on the side of a £2 coin while in a pub and liked it so much he thought it would be a suitable name for the new album. He then wrote the name on the side of a cigarette packet while drunk. When he awoke in the morning, he realised he had written "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants", not "shoulders"

For going around we were still using a tour bus, and as it was our first time there, we had a big surprise when a bus full of British people overtook us, all of them smiling and waving their hands but suddenly they turned and showed us their arses ahahaha

I was at 3 Oasis gigs in 1 month, even climbing the Italian Alps, highest European mountains, and arriving first in Switzerland, my last Oasis gig, seen it on the front row in front of Noel winking an eye at me ;) (and Glasvegas did the same) playing as in room for me and two Swiss birds lol, the "veline" :))

At a 1997 gig after the first chord of 'Be here now' I was literally flying, gone fuckin' mad fer it, continuously shouting and jumping embraced with all the people. Best fun of my life.
