the Britalian Milan site for pure Beady Eye, Pretty Green, Oasis, and City fans

preparing the Beady Eye venue

MILAN - As you remember in a video by me, Milan in 2000 @ Forum was the first "Beady Eye" concert, in the sense of first concert without Noel. From the archives, this here is a short version (plus something else coming to my mind) for the new email readers, of my memories about Milan Alcatraz 2005, where Beady Eye will perform. I see also many foreign people are coming, also because Beady Eye gigs are not so many now, and not in every country. I know some people are reading and they're jealous because they don't have a concert there, so come here :). Support band was a terrible duo similar to the fucking Norwegian Kings of Convenience (why do I always find bad-mannered people from there? Is it the cold freezing their Norwegian wood brain? Really, what a fucking bunch of assholes! -  no gig there, good, lol) ...we were sleeping, they were not "very Oasis"... well it was like having the song "I don't believe the world outside my room" all the time :), nice but zzz...not for a concert... anyway, that's really a song-"mirror" of the people today, not believing in anything. And the crowd was shouting everything against them. They "saved" themselves just because one was wearing an Oasis t-shirt, lol.
If Mario Balotelli sees it's at a place called Alcatraz, he would be interested ahaha (you remember, he entered a jail "for fun").
This was at the beginning of the "Don't believe the truth" tour. The album was not out yet, it was a kind of "preview" gig (in fact there was another concert in October @ Forum, that time with the Coral), so the new songs were... new :)
We were getting bored waiting for the gig because it was just springtime but hot, as it could be this March. I met a girl, who was from "the blue suburban skies" :) (to quote the Beatles), so her name was Penny Lane :) (no it was not the groupie from the film Almost Famous :). The little town where she was from (called Novate Milanese, or Champagne SuperNovate Milanese :) was the closest to where Oasis would have performed their last concert ever in 2009, but as we know, then unfortunately they didn't.
But, as that is the place of Milan Expo 2015, we have to be optimist also about the Gallaghers future, in fact it seems to be bright as usual.
So, Penny Lane wanted to have a walk around with me... ok, let's go.
We had a too large walk around, in fact we went back to the centre, quite far from Alcatraz.
We were in the park where I used to play football when I was a child, and we sunbathed a bit, almost falling asleep in the sun for how good it was.
Then we went in front of the Football English pub where Oasis have been, to the big french shop of music where once I met Suede (and Placebo, with Brian Molko winking his eye at me, no comment). Though I'm allergic to pollen, I had no problems in the park, very strange (Penny Lane, very strange :) but inside the french shop I had like 100 sneezes (and Penny Lane was continuously laughing all the time... you can write a song about all this :) and me sneezing. I knew my main allergy is not the pollen but the french, lol.
Then we came back to Alcatraz, where we met a boy from Naples (then I met him other times, as @ an Oasis gig in Florence), who was very similar to Liam :), you know, in Naples "copying things" is very typical :)), and he wanted to sell us the new Oasis cd, two weeks before it was coming out ahaha (this seems me with Beady Eye album preview :). It's better that Noel doesn't read this, Noel wants the money. Naples people usually are very funny, and this one too.
The there was my "famous" rescue of Melissa, the "escape from Alcatraz" :)

Fucking in the bushes & Turn up the sun: it was a new song, so the people were more excited for Oasis than for the song itself they didn't know. Notice Liam repeating the first sentence 2 times, cos he couldn't hear well, there was too much noise from the people (and also because he often forgets the lyrics ehehe). This song was my alarm clock in the morning from 2005 to 2008 (listen to the great cd version). I love this tune (by Andy), inspired by the bittersweet movie Midnight cowboy, with Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, the father of Angelina Jolie (songs as Everybody's talking at me, by Harry Nilsson)

Bring it on down

The meaning of soul, bootleg audio. This one's for Melissa.
It used to be the song on Sky Sports tv publi-city :) in England

Songbird, Liam could add this for the concert ehehe as he said

Morning glory

Live forever. Great Britain flag at minute 2:53 :)
