I write this "open-hearted" post, sorry about my mistakes in English language, but maybe I sound simple using simple words, because I feel responsible of Oasis discoverer quitting social networks, with what I wrote in these days.
He was also the one giving me the news of the end of Oasis last year, 28 August at 11 pm. It couldn't be no-one else...
Now he said he deleted Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr accounts because he got fed up with being in other people's personal real life shite drama's so closed them all down and it feels like freedom...
Again, I totally agree with him and we should follow his example, quitting this "virtual insanity".
But I think that if one quits all, he would feel free at the beginning, but then he would miss many things, news and contacts.
Now he retired, he lives in a farm in Wales. Nice move.
Recently I had supported, maybe too much, all he was saying, but I always agree with his "different" ideas, especially against Labour, and also when he was recently attacking some people, also Coldplay, Mika, Bbc, etc.
Just some days ago I was telling him that I wished he would never leave internet... because he's a legend, and it was such a honour to be so easily and hourly in contact with a great man as McGee. There were many people "kissing his ass", maybe sometimes I sounded like doing that, me too, but I don't think so. If i did, well it's ok, I think we can only kiss his ass ahaha ^_^ and thank him cos he "made many lives", I mean he made my life too, discovering Oasis.
What I was saying in these days against "drug addicts", it was not against him. There's been a misunderstanding about some things. Anyway, I keep myself against drugs. Drugs cause many problems, also the Gallaghers said this. Also in McGee's life the drugs created problems: with his escalating drug use, Creation Records had run up considerable debt that was only held off until he sold the company to Sony Music. And due to his long-running drug habits, he had been estranged from his first wife and had not seen his son since he was a baby.
So in the end I would not say summat as "people's personal real life shite drama", because it's personal and real life. It's especially thanks to the people buying Oasis stuff that he gained so much money. If he quits internet it can't be the people's fault. I would rather say the drugs, which create "artificial" life, give "life shite drama" to the people.
Now I'll follow what he says through the newspapers, and I wait for Upside Down movie to come out. I'll miss you very much Alan.
