Italian summer holidays 2010

Milan -
surely more beautiful than Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci :)
amor (marco? ^_^), love at the most famous theatre in the world, La Scala in Milan, with Leonardo Da Vinci statue, Shakespeare's Romeo&Juliet ballet this summer. John Lennon would say: for the people in the cheaper seats, clap your hands...and the rest of you, just rattle your jewellery :))
In this square last summer there were Oasis posters for the last concert ever, you remember the old post:

it seems soon but I'm already hearing around "where are u going this summer?", maybe because people have to reserve holidays in travel agencies, or because they're sick of cold and want summer.
Well, in fact only 3 months to June.
But where do you go, where do you gooooo... ahahaha
throwing away money...
come here!

There are already some events,
(apart from going to Sun Valley, my origins)
e.g.
the World Cup to follow,
Romeo ♥ Juliet @ La Scala in Milan,
in the same days (strange coincidence), Mark Knopfler in Italy, the author of Romeo&Juliet song,
Formula 1 GP (this year very interesting), see here: http://www.miamilan.com/2010/01/f1-sales-and-pretty-green-sales.html
and the "new Oasis" concert, this summer maybe there is ^_^
Rumors say for the end of May, before the cd coming out, as in May 2005 @ Alcatraz in Milan, but I think it will take some more weeks, so probably this summer when the album is out maybe in July.
But for sure 2 other concerts: Paolo Nutini @ Arena Milano (new venue for him) 21 July,
and Ennio Morricone @ Arena Verona, September 11.

new event for July: Heineken Jammin' Festival in Venice:
if I go, I'm going only the first day with Aerosmith and Cranberries, and because it's Venezia.
I was waiting for Led Zeppelin @ this festival...
but it seems that some other bands are still to be announced...
The other days: Green Day (...), 30 Seconds to Mars, Black Eyed Peas, Massive Attack, Pearl Jam, Skunk Anansie, Ben Harper, Gossip, etc.
in a word: rubbish.
We saw Aerosmith @ Monza Rock Festival 1999 and it was unforgettable, the Italian Woodstock under the biggest storm ever seen...
Also at this festival in Venice some years ago there was one like that, even worse (with concerts erased). I had tickets for Aerosmith but fortunately it happened the day before we had to go, so this one seems a sort of replay gig.
And I wanted to see Stereophonics at last Heineken in Venice 2008 but I was working there and the same night there was Italy playing :)
Also this summer there are football matches in the same days but they put big screens as well.

in the country, healthy activities:
- bicycles in nature
- lazing and sunbathing
- playing with cats ^^
- looking at the stars (as last summer post)
- swimming in a place where there is swimming pool+beach volley+tennis+football+restaurant, in the countryside not far from Milan, near my country house, on the hills (that's where the good wine we make, comes from... pass me down the wine :), it's so good to go there by bike. If you come for these activities, you're always thin ^_^

As in the other summers, we can make the usual barbecue in my country house (not here in Milan, but quite close)
For vegetarians: no problem, we have also a lot of vegetables :)

We have enough time to organize all.

"Milano è una città bellissima. Molta gente pagherebbe per stare qui. Non vado quasi mai a fare shopping, quello che mi piace di Milano è la gente".
(David Beckham, Milan, Oasis friend&fan, absolute idol)

[Milan is a beautiful city. Many people would pay for staying here. I almost never go shopping, what I like in Milan is the people.]

"The tempo was troppo caldo (too hot weather), the Duomo is breathtaking to say the least. Milano women are ridiculously stylish and fabulously slim, gorgeous beings. The chef shaped my pizza into a love heart. Italian men are so smooth!"
