Noel & Gem joined Paul Weller gig

LONDON - Gem recently joined Paul Weller on stage for the launch of his new album 'Wake Up The Nation' with a storming set at the Relentless Garage in London.

Playing to a packed venue, Weller's set mixed new material with old classics as well as some of The Jam's back catalogue.

Gem took to the guitar during a rousing rendition of The Jam's anthem 'Start!', while the night was closed with an encore of 'Come On Let's Go' and 'Pieces Of A Dream'.

Gem is wearing Pretty Green Black Peacoat and a 5 BUTTON GRANDAD TEE.

Start!

Echoes round the sun

Rock's bigwigs joined forces for the smallest gig either of them have played in years.
Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher tore up this tiny London club - with a capacity of just 600 - to launch the latest offering from the Modfather.
Weller debuted a string of thumping new tracks from his Wake Up The Nation - on course for No1 on Sunday - on Wednesday night.
Then Oasis axe man Noel pitched up and the pair performed the Gallagher-penned Mucky Fingers
from 2005's Oasis 'Don't Believe the Truth', as well as Weller's own Echoes Round The Sun.
Gripping renditions of classics including Wild Wood and a final triumphant airing of vintage JAM hit Start concluded a special night.
And I wasn't the only one who enjoyed listening to the rock Lords.
Comic Alan Davies even queued up at the North London venue's stage door to get the great Weller's signature after the show.
If you want to experience a man on top of his game look out for Virgin Media's Music On Demand service in June, when the gig will be broadcast.

Meanwhile, Gallagher has been talking about the rough and tumble nature of his long-standing relationship with "The Modfather" -- saying he's a "nightmare" to go out on the town with.
In an interview with radio station Talk Sport, the former Oasis mainman said, "I guess Weller's my oldest friend, I suppose, and I don't mean the fact that he's, like, 50. There's an unwritten law that I never go out with him, he's a nightmare.
"He's hardcore -- if you go out with him, if you come home at all, there's bumps and bruises. There's been scuffles in the street and you've probably fallen out with him."
