MANCHESTER - Noel Gallagher had to write a World Cup anthem and recently a song for Manchester City, but then he didn't. Rumours say Beady Eye have recorded a cover of Man City anthem, Blue Moon, written in 1934 (City won a FA Cup that year), released today. It could be true, as they also covered the Beatles' Across the Universe recently and Blue Moon was famously sung also by the one Liam loves most: Elvis Presely, in 1956, year of another FA Cup won (other covers by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, etc.). Noel put that song in his 'deejay compilation'.
