some songs/bands named in the book by Richard Bowes. It's a new good book, but there are several mistakes. Here are some.
First of all, "Oasis spiritual home" is not vaguely "South America" in general, but as Noel said : "Noel refers to Italy as Oasis spiritual home and anyone who has been to an Oasis gig in Italy will know why. It’s fitting they have chosen Milan to stage the final show..."(from Oasis official site)
As the author says, he wasn't to all their gigs, probably neither in Italy.
From a political point of view, the book makes some "lefty" reference, as about Noel with Blair in 1997. But then it's incomplete. What do English people and Noel think about Blair later and today? The writer just says from the interview the day after September 11 on, Oasis were "entertaining". But Liam was angry against Arabs because of "his" New York, Noel still supported Blair during Iraq war.

About the end of Oasis, of course it's been said a lot. What it's been politicalcorrectly not said, is about Bloc Party idiots happy for it in Paris where Oasis split up (no "unsavoury racist connotations", we just never liked them and both Liam and Noel were right insulting them, "shit", "should wash", etc). Is it allowed to dislike them or you must like them "because he's black"? (their race card to play).
The Gallaghers were very politically incorrect, that's not considered a "lefty" thing... "They were simpler times"... now with politically correct it's shite times.
Right, The Guardian were not big fans of Oasis... Noel would say "fucking communists".
The author rightly says Up In The Sky is the first Brexit anthem, yes appropriate with the Eu stars in the sky, not living in the real world...

Then the writer often talks about Noel copying songs... but later he seems surprised when he copies.
Reading the book what it seems the author means is that Noel always wanted to go solo (right).

The first "Noeless" gig (apart from very early Oasis) was in Milan in 2000 but Noel didn't go back to England... they were in Barcelona and he went to close Ibiza (as we used to do, but the other islands) where he met Sara in a disco... (galeotto fu)... that's of fundamental importance in the "story". I remember 'cause also my first girlfriend was a PR like her. And during the concert they DID play Acquiesce, with the crowd doing Noel's chorus.
StopCryingYourHeartOut is far from being the best site, as they often avoid publishing things about Liam and Noel attacking each other, telling everything about them. And there's a space for comments but they don't accept them. Best Oasis website can't be a serious one mincing words but only attacking and free to say whatever.
