LONDON - I'm the first one to tell it, even before he tells it :), Noel Gallagher's debut solo album "High Flying Birds" (name of his new band) will be released on 17 October (10 tracks, through his own label, Sour Mash Records), 8 November in the USA (Mercury Records), touring from that October, in small venues, playing Oasis songs too. He's got 2 albums ready to go, they don't sound as Oasis, the second one with the psychedelic Amorphous Androgynous next year (without a title yet). Notice in the pic the "perpetual adoration" :) More details soon, stay tuned.
The first single will be announced shortly. The LP will feature the Crouch End Festival Chorus and the Wired Strings. Co-produced by Noel and David Sardy, who Noel has worked with previously, recorded in London and completed in Los Angeles.
Musicians: Mike Rowe (keyboards), Jeremy Stacey (drums, ex Lemon Trees, he's Paul's brother, who played with Oasis), Lenny Castro (drums on Part of the queue), Russell Pritchard (bass, from Zutons),
Becky Byrne, Jon Graboff (pedal steel guitar), Luis Jardim (drums), David "Macca" McDonnell of Liverpool's The Sand Band.
