STOCKHOLM - Idha Övelius was a (not considered) singer-songwriter from Sodertalje, Sweden, who recorded in the mid-90's on Creation Records. She released two albums - 1994's Melody Inn and 1997's Troublemaker (with a Primal Scream cover...saying "I've got the blues for you" :). Her biggest single was 1997's Sorry Sorry. She was married to Andy Bell, the bassist of British band Beady Eye and formerly Oasis, Ride and Hurricane #1. Since 1998, she has retired from music and currently raising her family (but I know she's still playing guitar :). In 2004, she provided vocals for Japanese guitarist Ryo Matsui.
Her music reminds me of Jewel's, there's folk and country, I like it. According to a research, conservative people like country music :)
We Italians since 1959 (La dolce vita) have the myth of Swedish girls going down South to Italy :)
