Liam about Noel: "It's alright. I'm glad that people like it, man. He's got good songs. No balls, though. No attitude. Everyone knows what Noel Gallagher can do, and it's great, but it's boring. I've heard it all before."
Meanwhile, Noel lives in his own fantasy world... "Although he claims to care not a whit about reviews good or bad, he is pleased about one element of the media response, especially in England. “I was ready for people to say, ‘Well, he’s not as good as Liam and it’s not as good as Oasis.’ I was ready for that and I’ve got to say, by and large there’s not been one single mention of that.’’ Ultimately, he says, “having a great record helps.’’
....Oh really, so why almost every review mentions it, that he doesn't sing as good as Liam (of course) and that his album is not as good as Oasis... (of course)
"When asked his own response to Beady Eye, Noel allows, “Yeah, it’s OK. It’s good.’’ When asked specifically about the track “Kill for a Dream,’’ Gallagher jokingly pretends to get the title wrong, calling it “Kill for a Drink,’’ and says with a laugh, “I think that was the working title.’’
Again mocking, how funny. Liam quit drinking & smoking and why are you still spending £7,000 for a night in a bar... even proud of it on your blog (while people have no money), and even protesting when smoking is forbidden.
Here's another negative review: The more Oasis-y of the two post-split albums—understandable given that the elder Gallagher wrote the band’s best tunes—but anyone expecting a What’s the Story-level return to form will wonder why this bird never quite soars. Freed from the shackles of his attention-hogging bro, Noel seems content to lie in the same lazy mid-tempo guitar-strum funk that dominated the last few Oasis albums. This bird, in a word: unadventurous. 6/10 (from Montreal)
It turned out the guys who beat up Liam in Munich in 2002 were not Italian gangsters. The police officers were dumb as hell. Liam got beaten by 5 normal guys. They were real estate agents and one was a computer scientist/engineer. I don't know what happened to them, but they were in legal trouble. I hope they got screwed. For a group of businessmen, those assholes were ridiculously violent. I remember Liam when he then needed a dentist, he went to one very close to Noel's house and Noel didn't care about him at all and even mocked him. Very "brother"...
new song by Beady Eye 2 "under construction". Sounds a bit like Full on
