Mario's back? City eye Milan's genius Pirlo + Ferrari copied the name

TURIN - More thefts from Ferrari Fiat-Juventus Turin family (Fiat Group Chrysler is the main Ford rival in the States). Ford reported them to a court in Detroit.
Ferrari has said it has agreed to change the name of its new Formula One race car after Ford complained that its abbreviation was a copy of the name of its F-150 pick-up truck.
The American auto giant filed a lawsuit against the Turin's Fiat-controlled luxury sportscar maker, saying Ferrari's use of the F150 name was a trademake violation.
In a statement Ferrari has said it would refer to the Formula 1 car by its full name—the Ferrari F150th Italia. The name is recognition of unified Italy's 150th anniversary marked this year.
Ferrari maintained that the name did not cause confusion.
"Ferrari retains that there can be no way to confuse the one-seater...or even think that there would be a link with another brand," it said.
"It seems really difficult to understand what has been expressed by Ford," it added.
The suit asked a judge to block Ferrari from using the trademark in the US and sought unspecified damages from Ferrari.
Ford spokeswoman Anne Marie Gattari said the US her company was worried about brand dilution, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Tomorrow derby day.
Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli could be in line for a surprise return in the derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Manager Roberto Mancini is debating whether to include the 20-year-old Italian on the bench.
It would be Balotelli's first outing since December 28 when he suffered a knee injury after scoring a hat-trick against Aston Villa.
Mancini said: 'I will decide if he can go on the bench. If he is not fit, maybe he will need another week'.

Manchester City could make world champion Andrea Pirlo (today he got injured again, out 6 weeks) one of their top transfer targets this summer after AC Milan put contracts talks with the midfielder on hold.
City boss Roberto Mancini is a huge admirer of the 31-year-old Italy international (fundamental in Milan's game and scoring amazing goals), who snubbed a move to join forces with former San Siro boss Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea two seasons ago.
But with Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho also keen on Pirlo, the player could opt to chase one more lucrative deal abroad as he enters his twilight years. A move to the Premier League after ten years at AC Milan could be more appealing to the World Cup winner, 2 Champions Leagues, Italian league, Club World Cup etc winner.
