Blue Moon Rising film with Noel Gallagher

MANCHESTER - Oasisblues, the film, lol. Well, unless you’ve been asleep, you’ll already be aware that the Man City film “Blue Moon Rising” is due for its cinematic release shortly. An official trailer of the film has just been released (you can see it here).
The film follows City in the wake of the club’s takeover by Sheikh Mansour through the 2009/10 season, capturing their emotions in victory and defeat. The documentary will also gives an “access all areas” view into City, including footage from the dressing room, boardroom and players homes such as Carlos Tevez, with exclusive in-depth interviews from chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and manager Roberto Mancini.
It documents a group of Manchester City fans as they follow their team across the country in their 1995 Renault Espace (Marco: ............. no comment) nicknamed, “Helios”, they are Big Ste ‘The Mix’ Haley, Peter Watson, Adam ‘Rage’ White, Danny Godfrey, James Greer, Rob ‘The Truth’ Smith and Donny.
Made by leading sports media company Endemol Sport, the film takes the viewer from the terraces to the boardroom with exclusive behind the scenes footage of the club’s new owners. Among the fans featured in the film is former Oasis star Noel Gallagher, who appears on camera to talk about his life-long passion for the club.
From the initial hope and optimism following the takeover by Sheikh Mansour and the ecstatic disbelief of a 4-2 win at high-flying Chelsea, to the depths of despair after a last-minute derby defeat, the cameras were there to capture it all.
“Blue Moon Rising” is directed by BAFTA and Cannes Grand Prix-winning writer and director Stewart Sugg and produced by Nick London, one of the UK’s foremost documentary producers with credits including Sky One’s BAFTA award-winning series “Ross Kemp In Afghanistan”.
The film will debut on the big screen later this summer with theatrical distribution handled by Endemol in partnership with Robert Mitchell, former UK Head of Buena Vista International.
Manchester City’s Brand and Marketing Officer David Pullan said “Blue Moon Rising reinforces Manchester City’s standing as the most fascinating story in the world of football. We wanted to give football fans around the world a unique insight into the club and its future by getting them close to the action in this unique year. It will be a lasting testimony to one of the most exciting years in Manchester City’s history.”
