Noel: it's a travesty we have only had it once

"Playing concerts in England, and in particular at Wembley, is always an amazing feeling with the fans that come to watch us creating an electric atmosphere.
"The buzz the nation would create if we were to host the World Cup in 2018 would be incredible England lives and breathes football, from professional level through to guys going out for a kick about with their mates and kids in the playground.
"I'm proud to be supporting the England 2018 campaign and would encourage the entire nation to get behind it as well."

Noel Gallagher's video supporting England's 2018 Bid. I'm in!

ahahaha he speaks as me (or is it me speaking as him? :), "and the final would be just round the corner from my house!"

Fabio Capello yesterday said England was the "best country to host the World Cup".
The England boss joined the 4,000 people who have backed The Sun's campaign to save the nation's 2018 bid.

The Italian, 63, said: "This is the best country where you can play football. The transport, the fans, the stadiums, the hotels, everything is good.
This is why I think it will be fine for England."
The Sun launched Save Our Bid this week, calling on FIFA to ignore former bid chairman Lord Triesman's corruption claims.
Boxing ace Ricky Hatton, 31, joined our crusade - which you can support by signing the e-petition, above - saying: "England is where the beautiful game began. Bring it on."
Oasis star Noel Gallagher, 42, speaking at the launch of Umbro's I'm In campaign, said: "England should win. It's a travesty we have only had it once."
Other celebs backing our bid included former England captain Alan Shearer, TV host Adrian Chiles and Fatboy Slim star Norman Cook.

mmm lil mistake by Hatton, the beautiful game began in Italy, and then England gave the rules to it.

Noel Gallagher features in a new extended commercial for Adidas Originals' 2010 Global Campaign. The Advert features Adrienne Bailon, Agyness Deyn, Ana Ivanovic, Calle 13, David Beckham, DJ Neil Armstrong, Fernando Verdasco, Hyori Lee, Ian Brown, Jay Baruchel Jeremy Scott, Louise Roe, Mr. Hudson, N-Dubz, Snoop Dogg, Tallulah Morton, Whitney Port, Dee Edwards
